Value for money! Food is good, and has many varieties! One of my favourite western stalls now.

Ordered the signature chicken chop, quite big portion with spaghetti aglio olio, salad and fries as sides.

Excellent value for money Western food. The sirloin steak is served with a big portion of pasta. The fried squid is also very good.

Update: new on menu August 2019 - Laksa Seafood pasta! Got this dish and a real local Laksa new stall to Collins. Sadly, can't compare to the real deal. My 3rd time eating here at Havelock. Ribeye steak has much room for improvement. But the Lamb chop was exceptional, tender smooth and flavourful without that mutton smell. Place was well run and food ready in less than 10 minutes.

Seriously horrible. The food is inedible because of the amount of sauce put on top. After a few bites, the taste of the salad dressing became extremely overwhelming. Similarly, the cheese mayo fries were drenched in sauce.

Read the owner's reply that the change of side is 50cents.... but I'm charged a dollar. Asked for medium rare and I don't think I got it. But to be fair, the Angus beef is still quite tender despite not medium rare.. but lack of grill taste Will give the katsu curry next door a try next time.

Ordered the pork sausages set take away. Its a complete set with 3 sides and dressing. Decided on sunny Side egg, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms plus garlic sauce. Quite a nice meal. Packed from this place again during phase 2 heightened. Quite consistent.

I WAS a regular at Common Grill by Collins. My last was just a week ago, when I ordered my usual Signature Chicken Chop and Ribeye. I asked for my usual sides but the staff said sides are now fixed. I asked if I can swap to something else, coz I don't take corn and veges. “NO” was the answer. I have to order my "side" separately and threw away the corn and veges. Then I asked for BBQ sauce to go with my sides. They wanted to charge me $1 for that tiny tub of sauce which I could get for free from other restaurants. My disappointment wasn’t over. I asked the steak to be done medium rare, but look at the steak I’ve got in the photo, is that medium rare? Yesterday, I decided to try a different grill outlet a couple of streets away and found it to be of good quality, better value, and more importantly, no food wastage as they have good selection of sides to choose from.
