β β β β β Fish curry was nice. Different. A wee bit expensive. Otah was great. The vegetables portion as well as the fish curry portions are small for the price you pay but the culinary skills of the chef is definitely there.

β β β β β Very no nonsense place with fast service and well cooked food. I enjoyed the fish head and dishes thoroughly though they were a little bland for my parents as they are used to food that are more salty. Overall I really enjoyed the food and meal and would recommend this place.

β β β β β Curry Curry, it wasnβt all about curry, but a Chinese restaurant. Most dishes are not curry and do not have rice which is sold separately. The only set meal and for $10, is curry fish with rice which I order. Nice and fresh, taste great and of better quality too.
Update :
The fired rice wasnβt nice. The waiter gave a choice of Yang Zhou or Salted Fish, ordered the Yang Zhou which tasted like some home-cooked salted fish, but with good ingredients like a couple of prawns for $9.00. Funny thing is the table was reserved and had to be seated outside the non-aircon. The reserved table remain unoccupied even after finishing the fried rice.

β β β β β My first choice for curry fish head. The curry fish head is very tasty to my liking. The curry sour and spice balance out nicely and is simply so good when served hot on the claypot with burner, canβt stop drinking it as if it was a soup. The fish head itself was very fresh. But $30 for half a fish head which portion was just good for 2 pax can be pricey. Thus I only visit this place occasionally.
But the prawn meat roll is disappointing which resulted me giving 4/5 stars. Texture of the prawn meat filling is too dry and hard like those factory made ngoh hiang, nothing special. Definitely will try out other dishes the next visit.

β β β β β Traditional taste old school home style cooking . The curry fish is rich and nice not as sourish as the Indian restaurants , appetising just on its own and the rice. The fish is fresh and tender. The bitter gourd egg , fried cabbage all look similar when they were served and we thought we have accidentally ordered the same dish ? The bitter gourd was well prepared before cooking doesnβt have the bitterness. The fried cabbage was tasty with the dry scallop and shrimp in it . The prawn was simple and nice. Fresh succulent prawn with soya sauce my AH Ma style. The only dish that I do not appreciate much was the caipo egg coz sweet. Overall will return to try other dishes .

β β β β β Dishes and rice were cooked really well. Curry wasn't as spicy as previously, but still extremely fragrant. Only gripe is they ran out of drinks and didnt allow us to bring out drinks. And that the prawn cracker ordered didnt arrive till almost the end of the meal, and then told us they ran out :/ we had papadums instead!

β β β β β Walked passed this place several times and finally took the plunge. Very homey style zi char. Staff are friendly and food is quite good. Really liked the cabbage with shredded scallop. There's the wow moment when I first tried it. The curry chicken was also very nice. Thick gravy and tender chicken done just right. Will definitely try their curry fish next round with more kakis or when the kids starts taking spicy food.

β β β β β I love all sorts of curries and have been wanting to try this place. Taste wise, they are competent, feels homey, like how mom/ granny would cook. But value wise, it's very disappointing - due to the size of the servings/ portions. $30 for a fish head is not uncommon, but the size of the one we had was shocking. Vegetables too, they come in small servings not much bigger than individual/ separate portions from θι₯ stalls. So, for the price they charge, I think it's pretty low in value (my opinion).
