Tried the chef recommendations on the menu.. The food tastes awesome. Nice ambiance with good food.

Nice little place for lunch and coffee. Food and coffee is good. Nice ambience compared to shops around the area, with aircon. Good decor, friendly staff. Recommended for a visit when you drop by.

Fall of the bones ribs, crunchy fluffy waffles and lemony flavoured soft cheesecake. Will be back soon!!

New joint in the hood?Lovely on that for the community there. Firstly at time of dropping in, I assumed it is in soft-launch phase; full food menu not avail yet and less than 2 weeks in biz..Current avail are selected sandwich/burger /sides and beverages menu. Anw,dietary restrictions compelled me to strictly adhered to the liquid diet after 8pm . Thankfully Stella is there in ensuring that for me ? Initally set to walk away thinking "another time ..not sure what this place is and I don't want to browse at the menuv oddly".. It draw my attention on the cramped chalkboard.. Fantastic to see Stella Artois served on tap! A rarity being the Easties tap beers offering along that whole road stretch up/downward till start of Geylang road . Service and staff are inviting? Lovely and cosy setting inside; the owners' efforts to IG-proof the place clearly shined through in the decor design?? The warm lighting, the spokes&wheels showpieces on the wall and the zenish gardensy working bar/barista high-countersetup projects a clean cut and spacious feel. Look up into the ceiling and in place of the usual M.Spilt System 3/ 4 aircon units at different area are the flushed-in ceiling corporate office type central installations. Details of such not only acheived an overall decluttered and uniformed top finish as it does away AC units jutting out, it also ensures consistent cold air flow hitting all sides ❄️?️quite shiok laa Beyond the TV and the high tables in front of the bar counter ,the warm lighting morphs seamlessly with the twightlight red/purple glow enclosed corridor leading inner of the place..quite coyfully stirring up the long missed clubbing feel.. What's at end of this rabbithole ? Pop by to find it out ?? I kid u not that the outcome will be very relieving ? Anw: Initally 4 * mainly because it is still in soft phase I assumed and not having the full go at the place offering etc etc ..will return ? 3 * might be of bit irrelevant as it is unquantifiable and subjective; Hmm the place is not that noticable in day/night whether it is in biz or closure.need to take a double look with an U-Turn for confirmation..Miss it and it will be 1 way down with a detour..time wasting.. The contrast between the indoor lighting and external unforeseen light conditions are cast in stone due to design concept , can't tweak much.. Do consider looking into your signage ct alibration on the white space ,fonts, brightness etc. My 2 cents here, sigh..current sighboard quite a mismatch for the cafe..it is overwhelmed by the surrounding signboards.. Opposite: the glaring veterinary. Top:Hazmat. Side: the makmak restauant ..all of which visually larger ,emits colored wavelights that reaches the human eyes faster. Add onto it, the place flanked by unlighted biz units closed for the night.. Human traffic approaching directions in either way have the perception of the place being closed or no clue of biz presence.. Cheerios ! For the love of Stella?? Will return!

Went to try out this bistro few days go, firstly, the place is tremandously cosy and relaxing, it can really let you relax after a hard day of work or a temporary escape for lunch hour. The staff there is friendly, nice and they tried their best to accommodate me as I have a toddler who just start to learn eating by himself. We ordered a teriyaki chicken rice bowl, as I can say, compared to a lot of well known restaurant out there this is one of the best I have tasted it before. The tenderours Juicy well seasoned teriyaki chicken with perfection sous vide egg and of course the teriyaki sauce, not too sweet and salty is so well combination with their short grain rice, yum yum... As some of you out there, you will know what I am saying where some place their teriyaki sauce is way too sweet or too salty. Taste it yourself there and you will love it and start missing it. We ordered a Prawn Alio olio as well to try.The spaghetti was Al Dante and using a super big Prawn that was char grilled. The garlic was fried perfectly, not too soft and taste like it have soak with the Olive oil, not over cooked and having the burn smell, the crispy garlic with well balanced chilli padi bring up this pasta to another whole new level. This really shows the heart and Passion this chef have for his food. Always go for chef who cook with Passion and heart and you will able to taste what is good food. Good job DBL9 Bistro, I will sure make my way down again with my friends, please maintain this standard and sure will go far.

A nice place to hang out, staffs was attentive and friendly. BBQ baby ribs have a rich, sticky, caramelised glaze and meat was tender and fell off the bone, too. Portobello meatball was juicy and earthy inside, it’s good! Please try their angry bird Stella and berryrose hybrid (both mocktails), it’s really refreshing. I love their food presentation with edible flowers and fresh herbs, it’s so pretty and photoworthy. We had waffle and lemon cheesecake to complete our meal. Waffle was crispy and always a comfort food. Lemon cheesecake is so light and lemon blends well with the cheesecake. Overall enjoyed the food and drinks with decent price. Definitely will go back!

Cosy setting on a weekday night and good for friends to chat over a meal. Walking distance to mrt, food and drinks are nice and affordable. Please visit to support local entrepreneurs and f&b outlets.

Chanced upon this Instagram-worthy drinking hole place while walking around Joo Chiat / Changi Road area. The decoration of this place is amazing and feels like an oasis on a hot Saturday afternoon. Definitely will come back here again.
