I went to BYD showroom to check out EV . Met a very professional sales person Mr Dex Teh. What really impressed me during the test drive is the quietness and ease of driving BYD EV.

Very helpful and professional sales staff. Bought the BYD e6, the car drives beautifully and surprisingly very good acceleration despite it being a heavy car with a small engine. Delivery of the car was seamless and without any hassle.

Extended Hours Test Drive - Unexpected good acceleration from the e6, despite the unpublished 0-100 figures. Highly suspect the Torque has been detuned. When full throttle kick down, the rev counter reaches a maximum of 80kw , not the stated 90kw. From standstill there is a hesitation of a 1 to 2 secs, before pulling. Most effective method for pulling ahead is to gentle roll, than kickdown, and the Torque will pull well towards 80kw. Regenerative breaking has 2 levels, and it is not aggressive, very drivable. Both standard and enhanced settings can be easily learnt, it is not like one pedal drive of some EVs. Cabin noise is very quiet.. what was intrusive was the tire noise.. changing from the Chinese Chao Ying tires would certainly improve the tire noise harshness. Cabin space... this is the real winner (Class Leading), headroom, legroom and shoulder room is ample, even with 3 full size adults in the 2nd row. The only let down, is the lack of the 60/40 fold down. Overall handling is good, as CG has been pulled down by its battery pack, giving the car a lot of down force on corners or turns... as it should be for an EV with underbody battery pack. If agent could package, Cruise Control, Rain Sensing wipers, folding mirrors, android/apple auto & active emergency brake, the e6 would be a most compelling option, albeit with a probable higher premium.

Been to EAuto for my second service, Anthony was courteous and details explanation of the service process. Also informed me about useful tips in handling my EV. This place was clean and comfortable. In fact I had also bought a two years service package from Anthony . It saved me a lot of monies and time. Vehicle was able to release on time as promise. Technical staff are very knowledgeable. First time sending my BYD e6 for servicing at Vintage Automotive Center. Attended by Anthony Tan and it was a pleasant experience. Anthony is both friendly and accommodating and tried his best to return the car to me ASAP. He is also able to advise me on the conditions of the car and how to take good care of it.
