Had a lunch with my lovely wife and we did enjoy the atmosphere and helpful staffs. For the food, it's marvelous...

I bought the cheesy baked rice, spicy tomato sauce and mushroom. It was a thin layer of cheese + some mushrooms mixed with a bit of spicy sauce. A whole lot of PLAIN unbaked rice inside. This is not baked rice. This is plain rice with cheese and sauce.

They had new food -- turkey breast with cranberry sauce. It was delicious. Better than other self-made pasta. The new food - cheesy platter - had too much cheese. Not delicious and salty..

Aston's is way better for the price. Mash potato is from a powder - I can actually taste the graininess Bbq chicken was tasteless and had no char, was dry. At least spring onion was OK but it was probably from a frozen packet too

Staff there was helpful and good Food taste alright only Student meal become soup instead of the ice cream. Additional 50 cents, if you want ice cream. The old student price with the ice-cream was way better than the current student price with the soup as the soup doesn't taste good..

Food was surprisingly better than I remember - always saw it as more of an after-school haunt for students (cos of their build your own rice/pasta). Tried the Fried Chicken $11.80 (can select 2 sides from a list of eg. mash/veg/onion rings/cold pasta salad etc), and root beer fish and chips $14.80 (fixed sides). Portions were ok, just nice to finish the meal. For the fish and chips: Plum powder tartar sauce was a bit strange, felt it paired better with the chicken actually (then it tasted like taiwanese fried chicken). You can ask for ketchup/chilli sauce. The fry on both the chicken and fish were great, crisp even when they were getting cold. Fries/onion rings were pretty standard- but it all came out freshly fried so that’s a plus (food took about 10-15mins to arrive). Sautéed veg was v buttery No promo since we’re no longer students, FYI they don’t serve water - bottled water needs to be purchased. Service staff were curt but efficient so I don’t mind it. Background noise was quite loud (weekend in a mall), so not the best ambience if you’re looking for a quiet place

It is a pleasant experience with my friends at this outlet. Now it is mostly self service with the staff only handling the cash payment and the food. The condiments and cutlery need to be taken from the self service station near the counter and now we can order and pay through the QR code. It is an alright environment. The food is okay. This place does not charge service charge surprisingly but other than that it is a generally good outlet for gathering of friends and students after school.

This popular cafe serves mainly western food, kinda like Sizzlers sans salad bar and hot plates. Servings are fairly large, which could explain their popularity with students and army boys. We had the spaghetti Bolognese, which was quite good. The grilled chicken was tender, grilled prawns were fresh, although the BBQ sauce was too sweet. The salad was fresh. The Blue Ocean (the yellow bits are supposed to be Mango) and Ice Tea were way too sweet for us, although I'm sure the younger generation will be fine. If you're in the mood for Western food, this is another place to consider.
