Enchanted Manor by The Escape Artist - 310 Joo Chiat Rd

Sadly, this was a disappointing experience. Our Escape Room game (Dr Frank) consisted of multiple rooms, but unfortunately, one of the doors was spoilt. We thought we had arrived at the wrong solution & wasted a lot of time retrying & rethinking. Then we called the staff, who spent additional time checking & rechecking the knobs before concluding that our solution had been correct but the mechanism was spoilt. We wasted around 15 minutes while he went back and forth to bring screwdrivers to unscrew the knobs & open the door. First, he brought the wrong size of screwdriver, then went back and brought the right size, and failed to unscrew it - all the while we were helping him by shining flashlights for him to see the screws in that dimly lit chamber. Finally, he told us that room could not be opened, and that it contained a lot of puzzles, but we would just have to be missing that. He manually skipped us ahead to the last piece of the puzzle and said he would give us extra time to finish. However, barely 10 minutes later he came in & told us to stop, saying time’s up, when we were literally on the verge of solving that last bit and would’ve been done in less than 5 minutes. We had definitely wasted far more time than that on the whole doorknob fiasco, and were definitely feeling disappointed by then, so they really could’ve been more generous with allowing us to complete the puzzle! There wasn’t even any discount/ partial refund offered for the fact that one of rooms was spoilt & there was no mention of it thereafter - the fact that we had missed an entire room felt unaddressed / unacknowledged… It was frustrating & disappointing, and could’ve been managed better by showing some kind of generosity, professionalism & acknowledging the bad experience. Even though the room / puzzles weren’t too bad, I definitely won’t be coming back here, nor would I recommend it to anyone, because: 1. Having your rooms / escape mechanisms in working order is a basic requirement, before charging folks money to play the game. 2. Mistakes can happen, but it’s important to acknowledge the bad experience & compensate by being generous in some other way - the least we would’ve expected was time to finish the puzzle, given that so much was wasted in retrying the solution, having to staff go back & forth multiple times unscrewing the locks etc People come to places like this looking forward to an exciting & well-planned game, not a fiasco ☹️

We played the Dr Frank escape game. It was super fun and a well planned n thought out game. The music and lighting got us into the mood. There were also "surprises" along the way. We had loads of fun!

Great fun for the family. Enjoyed the experience even though the rooms were harder than normal or what we were used to. Host was regularly checking on our progress and prompted us when we were stuck which keep the progress momentum high. Definitely will be back!

this escape room was a super fun and enjoyable experience. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the room we visited was thrilling and was definitely fun to solve the mysteries. the set-up was creative and pretty cool. 10/10 would recommend

The escape room is fun and exciting! The way the game is played is new and innovative. The staff is friendly and helpful throughout the duration of the game as the puzzles are not so easy to solve but very worthwile. They also have a comfortable games lounge for groups to relax and chill after the game. Thank you very much!

For an escape room in sg, this is definitely one of the better experiences. Played Dr Frank and it really feels quite creative and innovative and I must say it is challenging in a good way too. On top of that, also want to thank thestaff who are very professional

We booked a slot for an Escape Room with 3 kids (between 7 and 11) and the clues were challenging and yet kept the kids on their toes trying to solve them! The coordinator was communicative via the walkie-talkie and she was helpful when we got stuck! Totally recommend this for those who are in search of a fun filled exciting activity with kids too!

My experiencing trying out the escape room was superb. The worker there were friendly and welcoming. Introduction and story telling was well done. Help will be issued if we are stuck when solving a puzzle. Estimated play time was around 40-50 minutes in my experience.
