Amazing Indian food! While they have traditional Indian food, majority of their menu is a Western/Indian fusion. We had six dishes for two people and it was around $20 per person. Great value for the quality of food. The food is quite spicy but really flavorful. The staff was also quite accommodating in veganizing some of the dishes. I will surely be coming back here quite a few times to try the other dishes and reorder some of my favorites.

Enjoyed the masala thosai set and eggplant bun. Requested for less spicy but it’s still a bit too much for us - think the side dishes might be premade so nothing much they could do.

Great value for money, delicious Indian food with plant based meat alternatives like tindle. Had the tindle chicken masala dosa and it was the best dosa I’ve had (I’m a dosa fan). The prata was not oily at all like all other places, and was coupled with a very good chana masala. Would definitely come back again, this place is too underrated!

I got to know this place from Komala Villa renovation notice. Delectable Indian food with tapas selection in the affordable price range! Love the masala tea and chutneys are very flavourful. Nice modern decor.

Amazing food and ambience. Service is also so friendly! They served everything promptly and it tasted so good. Only possible improvement- bathrooms could be maintained better.

Love the concept of having a twist on traditional South Indian dishes while remaining a vegetarian restaurant. Fennel manages to maintain your familiar Komala Vilas flavours and offers more. Tapas dishes are unique and rich in masala and flavour. Some are good while others like kothu parata was OK. The mains are also good, except for jini dosa (looks different from what you'd expect, but still tasty) and mutton set dosa (plating made it look like a kids meal). Overall, some different chutneys available, so that was a pleasant surprise. Relatively affordable and not too overpriced despite the concept. Thumbs up ? pics include Jini dosa, mutton set dosa, dosa set meal, rasam kothu parata, chicken kebab and gobi munchurian. Not in pics: mini chicken sandwich. Beware of potentially small portion sizes, may disappoint some.

good food and comfortable environment. Definitely will come back to try more dishes. The masala tea is really nice, if you like stronger taste of the spice.

We visited fennel to celebrate a special event and it is wonderful that we did. Amazing food, especially the spices, it feels so fresh. The ambience and hospitality is good as well. It's a hidden gem, especially with the price. Must recommend to anyone looking for experimental Indian food.
