Fido's Pawpose

Previous employee here! Working with Ralph at Fido's was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made as a vet student. I have learnt so much, not just from Ralph, but from my daily interactions with every single client. In this line of work, we often put the pets as our number one priority, and often, we start to subconsciously neglect the human aspect of things when interacting with the owners. Being at Fido's actually reminded me of how important this part of the job is. Ralph recognises that in order to achieve the best outcome for the patient, there is a need to always communicate clearly with our clients, for them to learn alongside their pets. And in return, we have learnt so much from our clients as well. Our clients come from a wide spectrum of backgrounds, and during the physio sessions, they have taught us so much with their different insights on life too. All in all, I genuinely enjoyed my time spent working at Fido's! I enjoyed the interactions I had with everyone, and it is also extremely fulfilling seeing the animals improve and get healthier. If there is an opportunity to work with Ralph again in the future, I'd jump on it.

Fido is our pup Magnum’s favourite place! Ralph is passionate and knowledgeable about his craft. He tailors every training session so it’s always interesting for Magnum and he gets to work on different muscles and body movements. Ralph is also patient and ready to answer any questions we have in relation to Magnum’s health and fitness.

My girl comes here for body conditioning as she's getting older and having slight difficulties getting up and out of bed. Ralph, the trainer told us my girl needs to build up her core muscles to ease her movements. Within weeks, she has developed muscles and has less difficulties and much more ease in her daily movements! Ralph is also super patient with her and she looks forward to her weekly classes with Ralph so much that she literally runs to classes! 100% recommend!

Started our sessions at Fido's in February, beginning with a canine functional assessment with Ralph. He was extremely professional, providing us in-depth explanation regarding a few things he observed about Chorizo. Following the first session, Chorizo has been going back weekly for his canine fitness sessions & he enjoys them thoroughly! As dachshunds are extremely prone to spinal and limb injury, we find prevention to be of absolute importance. We've noticed a straighter back and a better gait after his sessions with Ralph. His limbs are also stronger and more conditioned to allow him better movement.

When we first heard about Fido’s we were unconvinced that physiotherapy sessions and exercises would benefit our pets. We decided to give Fido’s a try when our golden girl Jojo physicality changed after an episode of hepatic encephalopathy. During our first session, our assigned therapist Ralph showed us simple exercises we could do at home to help increase Jojo’s flexibility and muscle fluidity. He always made sure to align our expectations with what his rehabilitative expertise could offer and showed genuine care and concern for Jojo’s well being. He tailors every single session for Jojo and designs different exercises with varying equipment working different sets of muscle group each session. No session is ever the same! It has been almost 9 months since our first session, we cannot imagine our lives without Ralph’s help! Our beloved puppy at heart is moving much quicker and with boundless amounts of energy again. She walks with her head high and even runs excitedly to chase after us. Walks are much simpler and we noticed her limping went away as her muscle tone developed. Each session with Ralph is always an opportunity for us to learn and tailor our care for Jojo. His knowledge of canine anatomy never fails to amaze us and his warmth and gentle touch assures us that only the best care is offered at Fido’s. Kudos to Fido’s for sharing your knowledge so freely and offering such amazing rehabilitative services for paw parents. Jojo is a much happier gal thanks to everyone at Fido’s.

Ralph is an incredibly patient and caring physiotherapist who has helped me immensely with the maintenance of my dog, Ace’s, condition. Being an older german shepherd who has had multiple leg surgeries and arthritis, physiotherapy has played a key role not just for his recovery, but for building/maintaining muscle mass in the long run too. What I love about Ralph is his willingness to teach and get you involved in the process, as well as his friendly and welcoming attitude which has Ace looking forward to his physio sessions every week!

We went to Ralph after my dog started limping and the cause was unknown. Ralph was able to provide prompt advice, which led to timely intervention. After his surgery, we returned to Fido's Pawpose for his rehab. He has recovered well after several sessions with Ralph, and even built strong muscles in his limbs. Besides rehabiliting my dog, Ralph also gives great advice in preventing injuries and how we can continue the exercises at home. Really thankful for Ralph and his team's dedication, always being so patient with my destructive young puppy. He won't have recovered so quickly without their help.

Going to Ralph was one of the best decisions we made for our dogs. He has been seeing our approaching-senior dogs every fortnight for physical therapy, comprising functional exercises and the use of therapeutic modalities. These in turn helps them improve their balance, strength and overall weight distribution! Ralph is also extremely knowledgeable and it’s always been an educational process for the humans whenever our dogs attend his sessions. Our dogs adore him too. Even Charlie, who is typically wary of males, took to liking Ralph as not only a treat-dispenser but one who gives him loving cuddles! Ralph also ensures that there’s a variety of enriching activities with different equipment to keep our dogs’ minds stimulated. Would definitely recommend for dogs of all ages.
