Amber Vet | Vet Clinic - 50 Burnfoot Terrace

My dog Tomo is 6 years old today. Dr Loon has been Tomo’s go to vet from the day Tomo was 10 weeks old. We are comfortable with the care that Dr Loon provides. So much so that Dr Loon is also the go to vet for Shinyuu who turned 3 years old last month. Reika, 6 months old, will be having her first appointment with Dr Loon next week. There are/were other vets at Amber Vet that we are/were comfortable with to turn to when Dr Loon is/was not available. The past vets at Amber were Dr Gwenda Lowe and Dr Yuemee Song, and the present vets are Dr Spellman and Dr Emma. We also like Amber Vet as it is almost a one stop service with its extensive range of services and facilities. We don’t have to come back another day for the titer or the blood test results. We acknowledge that the treating an animal is a challenge with lots of constraints. But then our dogs to us are not animals. They are family. And so we seek the best care within our means for them.

Over the years we have seen a number of vets and there are a lot of good ones here in Singapore, but if you are looking for the absolute best for your beloved fur baby then you need look no further then Ambervet with Dr Loon and his colleagues. We have been with Ambervet for 5 years now and have been very happy with the love, care and professional expertise of Dr Loon in dealing with minor health concerns to the more major problems that can sometimes occur. The clinic is also very well organized with waiting time kept at a minimum and there is also a spacious and comfortable waiting area for our fur babies and ourselves.

Dr. Loon saved my dog's life. Sunday night, my mini dachshund ate a large amount of raisins. Dr. Loon responded quickly to my call for help and treated him. He is now alive and well. I have been to other clinics in the past. I decided that Amber Vet is the place for my dogs' healthcare. The team at Amber Vet is excellent. The people at the reception are always polite and patient. The vets helped me make informed choices without pressure. I bring my dogs to Amber Vet even for regular checkups, to let them build up a baseline for my dogs' health. I believe that the investment is valuable and worthwhile. I will definitely recommend Amber Vet to my family and friends.

Was not particularly impressed with the veterinary knowledge and care given to my pets. I also did not appreciate them not giving me my dog’s prescription refill when I requested it.

Don’t WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY there they are quite useless. I called and email this vet to ask for a PCR test the vet did everything to not do the test, until I insisted and he found a way to not do it at the end saying it would be complicated and all. Wanted me to go through nonsense fiv FELV testing, tooth operation and meeting with a doctor from uk for 230$ consultations. Basically everything except what I have asked for. Paying 85$ for wasting my time with an incompetent person. I had called and email before and they basically lied. I will never come back here and I would advice anyone not to lose your time over there. When someone come with a proper demand, just do your job and provide the service needed we don’t need you to talk for 30min for nothing

This cat clinic has lost our trust completely. It is a pity because when we started, we really liked this clinic at first. As we had more visits, some things started unveiling and we took the deliberate decision to change vets, as we now question their professionalism and sincerity in pet care. Pros: Clean setting, quiet and not too busy, seemingly polite Cons: Both the vet (Dr Anna) and the nurse (Melissa) slapped chargeable line items on the invoice/waiver form without informing prior. We were surprised when we studied the line items appearing without us knowing anything about them. The charges were also much higher than other clinics of a similar standard (yes, we cross-checked). There is also a practice of 'jargon-dumping' by the vet on the pet parent, and if you are not careful or get easily shaken by medical terms, you may be swayed to do more than what your pet really need. I am aware that a service-recovery explanation will be posted here or emailed directly to us by the cat clinic to explain their side of the story, but unfortunately - we have moved on. Based on our experience, I will not recommend this cat clinic.

The team took really good care of my elderly dog, they truely cared for the animals that visit and always check to make sure everything were attended to. The entire team was so gentle with my baby girl and patient with all my questions. When my dog passed away they sent a really sweet message as well as a card. Im so glad my baby got care from amber vets team during her later days.

After reading the reviews, I decided to bring my 10 year old dog to Amber Vet for a second opinion. The vet was knowledgeable and patience with my questions (some maybe overly concerned). Didn’t feel that the vet was rushing through the consult. The fee may appear to be expensive to some but considering the advice and patience given, I think it’s value for money. I am very happy to see a good improvement in my gal’s condition. I will certainly bring her back for their continuous care.
