★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poorly taught , not worth my time and money. The instructor Ringo was absolutely aloof and stuck up. Lots of other studios elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been coming to Flywith Fitness #flywithsofly for about 6 months now, usually for the MOTR and Pilates classes at their Ann Siang location, and really love it! Studio is small and cozy, instructors have been great! Some tips for those looking to come for their first time:
• If it’s your first time doing a MOTR class, do attend a MOTR Strength and Release class first. This is the “easiest/ introductory” MOTR class that focuses on strength/balance holds and rolling those muscles, and they show you how to set up the MOTR at the beginning of class. Still a good workout, but more strength/balance-focused than cardio.
• If you want a good cardio workout, MOTR Cardio which alternates cardio excercises with MOTR strength/balance holds is the way to go, and if you like HIIT, the MOTR HIIT uses the MOTR to do some creative HIIT excercises. These two classes will really make you sweat, and HIIT is particularly tough!
• Pilates classes are conducted on the mat, but usually use a variety of props - balls, bands, basically whatever the instructor wants to use. The Ann Siang studio has cushions if you want the extra padding for some stretches.
• In terms of instructors, so far I’ve never encountered a bad one. I’ve tried classes from Ming (has great entertaining and high energy vibes, and his classes fill up fast, goes pretty fast in class but you don’t feel it until you are dead), Sydney (great for Pilates classes, MOTR classes are great for beginners), Ringo (has the toughest classes in my opinion, good variety of excercises, pays attention to form, and you will feel the burn!), Amelia (good with explanations and giving clear instructions, and answering questions about how to do the excercises / using the MOTR). Those are just the instructors I’ve tried, and there are others I’ve not tried yet. My advice is to try a few instructors and see what style works for you.
• As of currently (December 2019), grip socks can be worn but are not compulsory. Shoes not required for MOTR or Pilates classes.
