After a traumatic first birth with ended with a emergency c-sect, I was determined to reclaim my second birth with a vbac. I cannot thank Ginny enough who first encouraged me to change gynae mid pregnancy and then introduced me to Gem (our doula). Gem’s support during labour gave me the strength to achieve my dream birth. My husband and myself are immensely grateful to Ginny and team for their wisdom and guidance. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without them.

The work Ginny and team does is amazing! They give so much of themselves to make our birth experiences as good as they can be. I had a difficult birth with my first and chiew gin and Ginny were there every step of the way. 7 yrs later, we gave birth to twins this time with Doula Gem and Ginny’s guidance. We knew we had to have their support and help.. seeking them was one of our must-dos! The birth was quite difficult and a little traumatic this time but Gem helped us out so much and I gave birth to twins naturally. Ginny, Gem and Chiew Gin are amazing ladies ❀️❀️❀️. And we’re so grateful for their loving support.

Four Trimesters Birth Sanctuary... Really there aren't enough words we could write to express our gratitude to Ginny and her amazing team. We attended 4T's antenatal classes in our second trimester and came away with the strength, courage and confidence to navigate a pro-intervention system and achieve a beautiful drug-free birth. The care, compassion and love we have received pre and post-partum from our wonderful doula Gem, Ginny and Hui Tze has been beyond measure. They pulled us though the trenches of early parenthood. Every woman, every birth partner and every birth deserve this kind of support. Thank you ❀️. We will definitely be back when our family expands.

Being a first-time mother, I was clueless and needed all the preparation and help I could get. I was fortunate enough to have gone through the online antennal classes with Ginny. Through the classes, it taught me breathing techniques and learn to look at birthing in another way. While going through the classes, there were a lot of lightbulb moments. It definitely redefines my perspective and made my labour an overall positive experience. Thanks to the breathing techniques learnt, my labour was 10.5 hours and I manage to last until 7cm. I believe without the techniques and mindset; I would be unable to do so. As this is my first child, I did not research or know what to except about breastfeeding. Thankfully after birth, I had the privilege of having Hui Tze as my postpartum doula. She is really a god sent and baby whisperer. My son was so calm whenever she came over to assist. I truly learnt a lot about breastfeeding techniques. She also checked up on us regularly through text messages and giving us encouraging words of affirmation. Not only did she assisted us in breastfeeding, she also gave her advise and knowledge about baby carrying, pumping, swaddling and my mental and emotional health and any other concerns that I have. This is truly needed as I was dealing with postpartum recovery and the challenges that comes with being a first time mother. But thanks to Hui Tze, I am still going strong on my breastfeeding journey. I have also signed up for baby massage classes with Hui Tze and I am truly looking forward to it!

Four Trimesters Birth Sanctuary antenatal class is in its own class, the best ever for everyone who just got to know your other half is pregnant! We went through the digital programme instead of in-person due to our job. Went through it in our own pace with worksheets provided, Q&A after every topic & sub-topic and also support from Ginny and Sharan if we have any questions. After finishing the program, we will re-watch the topics and exercises so we could practise everyday. One of the most tiring activities are the exercises we need to help the spouse do. As we do the exercises regularly, our foetus turn to the optimal position for the "easiest" birth. This is a little win for us. Next is the breathing exercises that we focus a lot on. Many people told us that whatever you learn, you will forget once the contraction comes. BUT we practises it religiously and we are glad that my wife has an "easy" birth according to our gynae! She is in labour for 10.5hours, push for 30mins and our son is born! During the contraction, though painful at 1min apart from each, she uses the breathing technique and hypnosis taught at 4T and do her best to reach active labor at 6-7cm before succumbed to epidural. Birth is never easy. It will be painful, nerve wrecking and full of uncertainty. But if you take up 4T lessons, you will go in prepared and most importantly, you will want number 2, 3 or even 4 babies (THATS THE HUGE WIN!) as going into labour is not that scary after all! All those who are considering which antenatal class to go to, look no further! Huge thanks to Ginny, Sharan and most importantly Hui Tze for the guidance during post-natal! Thank you!

We had the pleasure of coming back to Four trimesters in Singapore for a second time! Our first child was born here in 2018, an approximately 23 hr exhilarating labour and what an experience! We were lucky enough to be able to travel back from Hong Kong to SG during covid, for the birth of our second baby. Home births are not supported nor allowed in Hong Kong. We were extremely grateful for the ability to birth freely, in a safe, comfortable environment with the wonderful care of the doulas (Ginny and Gem) at Four Trimesters and of course, Dr. Lai. The birth house feels like a home away from home, where I was able to totally relax and know I was in a safe environment receiving the best care possible, and with this we delivered our second baby! I can’t say enough about what this means to me and my family, to be supported and to birth your child naturally, with all the confidence and encouragement! Ginny, Gem- the doulas with stamina, love and support for moms! Doctor Lai @ A Company for Women- a truly gifted doctor you can trust with the skills to deliver your baby naturally and safely! Keidi- helping to capture all of the images that will last us a lifetime! Lyn- Whipping up the best and most delicious food to restore energy, love all your special meals and of course- the the lactation cookies! Thank you again, what a great time!

My husband and I started off at Four Trimesters as we wanted to take pre-pregnancy classes in a non-hospital environment with a relaxed setting and Four Trimesters Birth sanctuary did not disappoint. We were taught by the amazing owner Ginny who is super experienced, knowledgeable, fun, witty and passionate in her field of work as a doula. The classes conducted were engaging, informative and a great way to get to know other parents birthing around the same time. It was through the classes, my husband and I first learned about doulas. Prior to this, we had no idea what a doula was. The more we learned about birthing, the medical terms and the process involved, the more we realised the importance of having a doula during birth. One thing led to another and eventually, we decided to give birth at the Four Trimesters Birth sanctuary. Upon looking back, it was definitely the best experience for the birth of our first child. Even though I ended up transferring to the hospital for my final 4 hours of birth, the time we spent at 4T prepping for the final hours was priceless. What impressed me most about Four Trimesters is the village of women surrounding us and supporting us throughout. During the birth process, our doulas, lead doula Emma and assisting doula Gem were such incredible support. They were very encouraging, patient and kind throughout the process as I experienced waves of contractions. In my final stages of birth, our doula Emma was simply a rockstar, encouraging me to birth the way I had wanted in my birth plan - natural with no epidural. Giving birth at 4T was such a comfortable and relaxing environment, nothing like what we see on Television or the stressful hospital settings. Immediately after birth, the support we received from the 4T family continued to be incredible and outstanding. Being able to exclusively breastfeed my baby for the last 6 months is all thanks to Ginny and the amazing postpartum doula Hui Tze. The incredible support these women have provided me as a first time mother and even for my husband as a first time father is simply out of this world. The 4T team are so passionate and excellent in what they do that it truly shows. Now looking back at my birth 6 months ago, I can definitely say that the 4T experience was the best thing I did for the birth of my first child. Thank you so much Ginny, Hui Tze, Emma and Gem for all that you do. What an amazing team of women and I feel truly blessed to have had this experience. With that said, I highly recommend the antenatal classes at 4T and if you do decide to engage a doula for your birth, you won’t regret it.

Finding ourselves expecting our third child after recently moving to Singapore and knowing that we wanted a very different experience to our first 2 births in the UK, we found Four Trimesters and the wonderful doula team and we are so glad we were able to navigate the pregnancy and birth with them to support us. Having had an emergency c-section in 2013 and then ending up in theatre again in 2016 with a traumatic forceps delivery (after planning a home birth) with our second baby my experience of birth was one of fear and sadness. I really wanted to change this narrative for myself and my family and took the opportunity of doing things very differently with this 3rd pregnancy. After meeting with Doula Ginny for the first time she made me feel that the birth I wanted was possible. I worked hard to address the emotional trauma from the previous births, I made listening to Ginny's positive birth affirmations and relaxation tracks part of my every day. I worked to release the fear that was stored physically in my body and generally tried to look after myself well. The optimal maternal positioning support from Ginny and Gem was brilliant and definitely made a huge difference to preparing my body to birth my baby and get him in the right position. Planning our birth preferences with Gem made us feel so hopeful and really listened to, it was amazing to have a team of professionals who truly were committed to creating a positive birth experience and there was no doubt voiced by any professional that my body would not be able birth my baby - their confidence in me gave me confidence in myself. We feel so privileged to have been able to achieve the drug free, home water birth that I had so wanted for so long and none of the experience would have been possible without the support of Gem and Ginny and the four trimesters team. The birth itself was an incredible empowering experience and one where my whole family felt cared for and safe. Our two older children were welcomed at the birth sanctuary and were able to be present for the birth of their brother. We cannot recommend Four Trimesters antenatal, birth and postnatal support highly enough. Thank you! From Kirsty, Matt, Rupert, Felicity and Kit x
