Gentle Oak Veterinary Clinic - Blk 21 Ghim Moh Rd

Generally the Drs in this clinic care. My furkid sees Dr Alice. As first time owners, we felt the information given to us were made easy to understand without compromising on what's important, something we really appreciated. She is also holistic in her care and she paces both owners and pet when discussing treatment plans.

We visited Gentle Oak about a week ago after our dog remained lethargic for quite sometime. We had consultations at the other vet clinic for numerous times, spent at least 2-3k on consultations, medicines, scans, blood tests but couldn't treat the root cause. FINALLY we found one of the top rated vet clinics, which is Gentle Oak. Fixing appointment- We did not take a long time to fix an appointment like other clinics (we decided to seek for second opinion). We managed to walk-in and met Dr Travis. Professionalism and pet at heart- Dr Travis listened to the journey patiently and gave several options to rule out the possibilities instead of forcing you to run different/ irrelevant blood tests (I told the previous vet, but the vet insisted even I shared my scientific knowledge with her). Besides, Dr Travis gave economical advice (cost effectiveness). We accepted. Test results and fuss-free prescription- We waited for a week for the test result as the sample needed to send oversea. After the result released, Dr Travis conveyed the result personally and prescribed the drugs over the counter. Outcome- FOUND the root cause without going through any traumatic examinations. Our furkid has already on the recovering journey. Was a tough month but Gentle Oak helped us get through this. A professional team, and definitely you are paying a reasonable price. 400$ for two visits including testings and medicines vs 3k$ with multiple visits, tests, harmful medication. Which one would you choose?

Can't be more grateful to have Dr Alice and Amanda as our first vets for our little one in Gentle Oaks. Every staff members are as caring can be as well.

Awful admin service, wonderful doctors. Waited close to an hour to pick up my pet who had been hospitalised during daytime. After 30 mins went up to recap to ask if pet was ready. She said she have to check if the bill is ready. I could hear the vet tech call from the room that the bill has been ready for a long time already. Meaning if I didn't go up to ask, I would be waiting there until clinic closing or until they suddenly remember me. After I paid the bill, they insist I have to wait for the doctor to speak to me first. Waited another 20 mins. Then, doctor came and told me a mere 3 sentences, then discharged. Seriously disappointing. Saw so many cats and dogs get discharged before my pet was, until I was the last one in the waiting room. The receps completely forgot about me and / or didn't bother to check if my pet was ready the moment I stepped into the clinic. Seems they only rlly care about their regulars / the pets and owners they recognise. Worst part is, simple discharge of my pet took 1h when it should have taken only 10 mins. They knew I was coming to pick pet up after a day of hospitalisation, and I came right on time.

Long overdue review but will always recommend pawrents to Gentle Oak. Had a great experience with Dr Lee Yee Lin who treated a rescue, Sugar (renamed Frazzle), with great care and professionalism. Dr Lee cared for Frazzle’s physical and mental health. She managed to get Frazzle’s seizures under control within 2 visits and supported in his eye care. She also prescribed essential oils to help with his anxiety. Despite Frazzle’s temperament, Dr Lee was patient & empathetic towards him. Thank you for your professionalism. ??

My lovely dog Angel has been very sick. Dr. Alice was able to diagnose and taking care of Angel and stabilized her condition before she went for her emergency operation. We appreciated her kindness and her professionalism. Angel is recovering very well.
