Giant Supermarket - Beauty World Centre - 144 Upper Bukit Timah Road B1

The cashiers are helpful & efficient. The fresh meat & seafood stalls have bad customer service. They refused to do a butterfly cut for whole fish displayed & not wrapped up. Giant IMM gladly provide the service with no questions asked. The pork store packed everything in big pack. When I requested for a smaller pack, she’s replied it’s all packed. Basically trying to get rid of all her stock and end the day early perhaps. Such attitude gave customers limited choices . Of course I left without buying anything. No such problems in other supermarket.

Super disappointed with the service when i checked out for payment. I adviced shoppers here should not buy in bulk because they are unable to handle bulk payments at the cashier. They were inefficient and did not pack all my paid items. I even checked the counter before leaving. Bought a few bag on Sunday. Upon reaching home, I discovered that 3 boxes of my fruits were missing. Called them several times but no one answered. So i drove back to same outlet to claim it, but they couldn't find my items. Fair enough, after spoken to the supervisor she compensated me with new boxes and refunded me those items that were out of stock. Went back home again, only to realised that my other groceries were missing, in which they also had not given me upon check out. Very disappointing. So troublesome. Not going back again. No stars given only give because forced to by Google review if not cant post.

The staff are friendly and helpful, though the outlet is not too big but quite nicely arranged, A very healthy sign of the staff working environment can see they are all smiling while working

This particular store could use a clean up and better shelf organisation otherwise Giant as a chain is fab!

This small Supermarket was earlier outlet fr Shop & Save & prior to that known as Oriental. It has the usual range of products like Fairprice Supermarket, but its brands are often different. Their "home brands" under Giant name are cheaper than Fairprice. They hve a friendly long term employed checkout staff..with the Malay lady being outstanding in friendliness & personality. A good place to shop.

Giant is a v good place to shop. Senior citizens discount from mon to fri. Crowded. And, not all the cashier counters are opened. Only one opened during lunch hr rush. So the wait super lengthy. Hopefully more counters open during lunch hr rush.
