Gigi Fish Soup Family Restaurant - #02-45 Tanjong Pagar Plaza

Been eating here for 6 years on my lunch hour, run by auntie and uncle who may not be the fastest but the fish soup noodle is fresh, tasty, and healthy(I prefer light broth).

Hearty meal brought to you at reasonably costs. Had their fish sliced soup, broth was on the lighter side, with slight hint of gingerly aftertaste. Definitely not the best I’ve had before, but wouldn’t mind dropping by if I’m out of options as the crowd here wasn’t that bad over lunch hours.

One of my favourite place to get fish soup and the only place in town where I actually finished all the soup off the bowl. Fish is also always fresh and love that dash of fried scallops and soy beans condiments. Order 5 dollars and above as the portion can be slightly small

All fresh~ Third time visit, still rating 5 stars. An old couple of Uncle and Aunty run the fish soup shop, better come here earlier before they retire lol. Delicious!!

If you are someone who like thick flavourful fish slices, with variety of vegetables, and light broth.. you will like this... this portion for $5, totally worth it. Their fish are also prepared properly, with no tiny bones, no fishy smell. Much much better than some foodcourt.

I feel this place deserves a fairer rating. My favourite comfort fish soup restaurant to go to for truly home cooked dishes. Taste is not strong like usual food stalls but it’s light (still tasty with hints of ginger) and healthy. Yes there is no air conditioning only fans inside and the wait is long (about 30 mins and no refunds) during peak meal times because there’s only one elderly couple operating the place - the uncle cooks portion by portion and the aunty does the serving. The aunty is always polite and friendly and insists on bringing the food to your table and ensuring safety. Love their accompanying bean sauce when mixed with chilli. They specialize in fish soup with fresh fish slices and veg $4 onwards with various noodles which you can choose (or rice). What a lot of people don’t know is that their fried rice $4 is amazingly good. I love ordering one of each. They have also kept their prices low for many years. They also sell canned drinks. I will definitely continue to support! Method to order: 1. Order and pay (cash only) at counter 2. Get a number tag 3. Take your utensils and condiments you require 4. Find a seat and wait for aunty to call your order so she can bring you your food

The auntie just melts my heart. She is super kind, speaks gently and most importantly, her fish soup is simply amazing. The soup is flavorful yet not too strong, making it a wholesome and healthy choice for lunch. Quite affordable as well.

Quiant, homely restuarant tucked away in tanjong pagar plaza. This place is really a gem. Run by an elderly couple that while might not be the fastest(understandable really), they make you feel as if you're their family. This place oozes with homely and nostalgic feeling. I had the fish slice soup with a bowl of rice. Pieces of fried garlic accompanies the delicious soup with fresh fish slices and vegetables. The food is comforting and light, yet packed full of flavour. Price wise, it is comparable to others with rice being 50 cents. But for this price point. This is perhaps one of the best you will ever have. Places like this are getting to find now a days so be sure to support them! Oh btw its cash only :)
