Today is winter solstice and Chinese traditions is to eat ζ±€εœ† glutinous rice balls to symbolize reunion or togetherness. As most of the famous glutinous rice ball stall will have hours of snaking que. Have decided to check out this store. To my surprise, they make very athletic Cantonese style glutinous rice ball. It comes with clear ginger soup and 2 type of infilled. Peanut or black sesame. Best of all, there is no que here. ?

My girlfriend told me that the Gui Ling Gao would be bitter but the desserts were really tasty. We had the Menthol Gui Ling Gao and Manga Gui Ling Gao. Will come again.

Tried 3 items on the menu: Menthol Gui Ling Gao, Gui Ling Gao with Mango and Mango Pomelo Sago ζ¨ζžη”˜ιœ². Menthol Gui Ling Gao was a little strange for me, not my liking. But the boys love it! Gui Ling Gao with Mango sounds like a strange combi but turns out to be pretty alright! I think the shaved ice base has milk in it. An interesting combi I would say! Mango Pomelo is disappointing. This is a big BIG miss!

Love their dessert, will always order: - Sesame walnut paste (add mix tang yuan) $4.70 - Gui Ling Gao $6.80 The dessert might be in a higher price side, but the quality is good. Worth the value.

Wanted to find a place to eat some desserts after dinner. Honestly it is quite average nothing special. The almond paste was alright but the mango pomelo sago was quite disappointing considering it was $4.50 and I could literally count the chunks of mango there was inside. Definitely have other places that offer better choices and portions.

Yummy dessert place that was near Chinatown Point. Yam paste dessert was slightly watery, as compared to the other ones that I’ve tasted (which were more viscous). Had many ginkgo inside, and the ingredients given were generous. I don’t think they do paywave here, but they do accept cash or grabpay~

Walked passed Gong He Guan, a Cantonese dessert store that focus on ιΎœθ‹“θ† (a herbal jelly sometimes known as tortoise jelly). But it's the milk tea with tortoise jelly that got me interested and went in to try. Milk tea was fine, a little bit sweet but that's also helping the jelly to taste abit less bitter. I guess it's something unique since we are so much into bubble tea and stuff. Will be back for their other items.

There is a good variety of hot and cold desserts. Have been here on quite a few occasions and managed to try some of hot and cold desserts. Generally, it suits my taste buds as the desserts are not overly sweet. Though serving bowls are small and you might think that it feels expensive with that price, it really isn't. In the small bowl, it is actually pretty packed with all the ingredients and cooked just right. This is especially so for the sesame paste, it is essentially the real thing and not thickened by using corn starch to give a gooey texture. It is a small shop, thus only a few tables are available for seating. Good and not-overly-sweet desserts are hard to come by. This is the main reason why I will always drop by here for a sweet treat whenever I'm in the vicinity.
