โ โ โ โ โ Both my Lunch dine-in experience was great! Had batang porridge the first time and went back to try their toman soup. The soup was sweet and flavourful, doesnโt feel thirsty after the meal, ingredients very fresh.
But I was very disappointed with my recent dinner takeaway. I ordered giant grouper and milkfish belly this time. Not sure if the ingredients were kept out of proper temperature the whole day etc, the soup taste different and the grouper meat were stale (sour). And the prawns were ok but not as fresh as what I had the first two times during lunch.

โ โ โ โ โ I ordered the giant grouper seafood soup. The soup is creamy and dense. But the fish meat is somewhat crumbling apart and scattered within the bowl. The fish scale was also still on the skin.. which ruined the experience. Not the fish umami smell I was expecting. The handmade meatballs and patty have dense taste, but I chewed small fractures of bones and scales out of them. Taste is quite fine, but the quality got room to improve.

โ โ โ โ โ This bowl costs $15. Complete rip off with just 2 prawns, 2 small meat slices and about 4 fish slices. Picture speaks all for itself. Worst of all the soup is tasteless and watery. Very rude staff too. Appalling ripoff for the price they are charging. Think twice before go there chop carrot head

I tried their pumpkin rice, I love the pumpkin rice fragrance which does not overpowered the fish soup, and it blends well together.
Hubby tried the fish soup bee Hoon today, not to our standard. Extremely fishy, it had some ginger in it, but it does not cover the fishy smell.
Hmmm . TBH both of us are extreme fish head lovers, but this bowl is not for us.
Milky belly fish soup porridge or served with rice or pumpkin rice, it is my top choice.
I will surely be back again n again! Highly recommend

โ โ โ โ โ Thankfully, I wasnโt deterred by some negative reviews and decided to give it a shot.
Absolutely love the fish soup here. The broth was thick and fragrant. The fish tastes fresh and Iโm pleasantly surprised thereโs a few other ingredients like ba chor (meat paste) and clams. Probably one of the most filling and sumptuous fish soup I had.
Price is very reasonable though I would certainly return for the more premium options.
If youโre in the vicinity, donโt miss this! ?
(Oh, the staff were nice. Lunchtime visit thus busy busy but bothered to help with sauces and they even gave a bottle of water!)
