Must try store! (1) 100% hand-made “mee hoon kueh”! Can taste the springy texture. (2) The soup is full with shiitake taste, light and clean. (3) The chili is nice because of limes. (4) Provided with reusable chopstick and spoon. Small dish is plastic, that’ll be good if it’s reusable too.

Nice and really tasty. The soup was too clear to my taste but the pasta (home made) were so good that I give 5 stars

Getting my Ban Mee fix anytime of day with @grandmabanmian frozen package ban mee. Their Ban Mee is everything to love! A homey comfort food that speaks to the soul, warmth and comfort to my belly. This frozen package available in banmian or youmian to choose from and packed separately with the ingredients (minced meat, mushrooms, black fungus and ikan bilis) and condiments (dark sauce and chilli) together with noodles. Even is frozen, the noodles retain it's chewy springy bite texture. The dark sauce provides a rich and savoury note that goes so well with their moderately punchy chili. The mushrooms are nicely marinated till very flavourful that provides dimension and the crunchy ikan bilis give added texture. When toss everything together, it just hits all the right notes making it such a gratifying bowl. If you want a comfort hot bowl on the spot can head over to their physical store too. Price went up yet portions seems to come down . I used to get this for $4.5 before the pandemic it’s $5.5 now for the ban mian and I was shocked the mian Hoon Kuey version is $6. Ban mian is nice and chewy but chili packing a punch ( prolly more tailored to expats’ taste buds ), portion is very small for $6. May not go for this option again

Had the ban mian option ($4). I think this ban mian is different from other ban mian, in the sense that there is a stronger reliance on mushrooms for the taste profile here. I liked that this stall is pretty generous with the vegetables. The unique selling point of this stall would be the use of mushrooms which would make the broth taste rather different from other ban mian. However, the taste did not excite me very much.

Dry Chilli Ban Mian S$5 Took this away but it’s still delicious! Each noodle coated in their special sauce topped off with the signature chilli. ? Really should support local hawkers especially during WFH times! ⭐️Follow @foodiebots on Instagram for more!

There wasn't a long queue when I came by but food was serve quite fast, didn't had to wait long. The you mian was cook firm to the bite, neither too soft nor too hard, just nice. Spinach however was a bit undercooked, still on the hard chewy side. Black fungus was slice into strips, easy to eat. Mushroom was cooked till soft and lovely. Simple but perhaps too bland to my liking bowl of noodle soup .

Oh wow the dry chilli ban mian and ban mian soup was amazing. The ban mian soup wad so flavourful with the mushroom and soup stock. The chilli for the dry ban mian was also just nice, Not too spicy but with a kick. If only they can have a bit more minced pork will be nice. Price slightly on a higher side at $4.50 and $5. Taste still good even though dabao.
