Minimum 4 items must be picked.
Just wanted a sample for myself during late after tea time.
Tau hu (fried soya bean) $1
Telor Tepun (egg flour) 90 cents
Vegetable tepun 80 cents
Crispy Onion tepun disguised as vadai $1.50 (?!?)
- the ‘menu’ listed everything clearly. Except the vadai had a mask tape pasted next to it scribbled “c. onion” which was inconspicuous. And most vadai is like a donut with a hole in it. Nobody would think this red coloured flour item with signs of some vegetable in it, is the “crispy onion” vadai (?!) ?
I felt ripped off when I enquired why my order of 4 items amount to $4.20. I had thought the “crispy onion flour” cost 80 cents. Hawker pointed toward signboard & told me it is all listed there ... what?
It did not look like a vadai & placed on the top shelf together with all the below $1 items.
The items were average. Flour items was not fried long enough for it to be crispy enough, too doughy & thus chewy.
Sweet Spiced Sauce is 7/10 rating. Not thick & sticky.
Over priced for a Haig Road Hawker. Negative experience overal. Food quality is subpar irregardless of price misunderstanding.
