Hair Professor - 1 Goldhill Plaza

I enjoyed my time here in Hair Professor. I came here for colouring(gradient) and perming and was very satisfied with the results! Lovely minimalist environment and only a few minutes walk from Novena MRT station. The staff here were extremely friendly and the tea they provided was deeply aromatic and smooth tasting- which really relaxes the mind while getting your hair done. There is an assortment of teas to choose from! My stylist was very attentive to my needs and her skills were top-notch! I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again!

This place was recommended to me by a friend and I am glad that she brought me here. During my 1st visit, Teddy very patiently went through possible hairstyles and suggested various options. Also, the other staff were very polite and nice. The hairstyle that I left the salon with made me feel more confident and is well-received by my friends! I would highly recommend this hair salon to anyone looking to try a new style at a place that is accessible and professional!

Called to book an appointment for 11.30am on 7th Sept but I was told to come at 11am as the hair stylist wasn’t available at my requested time slot. I got there before 11am but my hair stylist showed up to work late and started on my hair at 11.07am. If you can’t give me the slot I request for and expect me to come down at an earlier timing, please at least have the decency to show up to your appointments on time.

Okay, the most genuine review here. Unfortunately, my experience at HairProfessor was very bad. After checking their social media pictures, I was convinced it is a good place for me to have balayage done on my hair, which is !!!BLENDED!!! highlights on the ends! To my disappointment, I came out with dirty, patchy highlights with straight lines, which is not supposed to be balayage at all.... My ends were greenish and top orange - just what you want right, when you pay 300 sgd? Next day when I came to ask for a refund, they wanted to redo my hair. Oh Jesus, please NO. Yesterday was more than enough. Just one question that I did not get any answer, why DID you NOT do the right thing at first??? My conclusion: HairProfessor staff is really bad at balayage or they do not care about their customers. See the photos of HairProfessor author's balayage attached. If you want to get patchy greenish-orange highlights you can surely contact them! And just FYI HairProfessor: "Balayage is the technique of free-hand painting highlights onto the hair, creating a SOFT and NATURAL GRADATION of lightness towards the ends."

I was experiencing serious scalp itchiness for the past 2 weeks to the point that I wanted to shave my head bald right away. I consulted the hairstylist, Teddy, who has been amazing during my time there. He was very patient in answering all of my questions & have been very knowledgeable in his explanation to ensure that I understand my condition. He did an intensive scalp treatment for me & needless to say that the itchiness was gone after my session there. Pricing is reasonable as well for treatment and the best part is, he did not hard sell any service nor products to me. I think they (especially Teddy) has just gain one more regular customer! :)

I am a regular customer of Hair Professor as I have received good quality service from my hairstylist Teddy, who is very skilful and knowledgeable, and understand customers' needs well. The other staff members there are also able to provide good customer service. Hair Professor is highly recommended!

Not only is his skill and dedication always at a high level, but all the small touches, attention to detail and willingness to listen and craft the exact hair style you want makes him the best haircut experience I've had in Singapore.

An unassuming salon. It was my first ever visit to Hair Professor for a haircut and Yenny did an amazing job in layering my hair for me. ✨??? While I was very concerned when it came to thinning my hair, she made sure that it was done correctly to prevent damage (and ugly fluffed out hair). Suffice to say, I think i’ve finally found my go to place for haircuts.
