β β β β β I have been studying Chinese under Teacher Timothy for 1 and a half years now and will continue to do so because not only are my private classes fun and entertaining but he makes sures that you understand what is being taught in class. He has always been really patient with me in explaining things and I wouldnt know what I would do without him. I have tried abt 5 teachers in the past but none was able to explain it better than teacher Timothy.. I am able to remember the lessons easily because he would spend time with you understanding and not only memorizing the words.

β β β β β Mandarin Chinese has never been my strongest suit but with my work, it requires me to be fluent. Timothy has been very patiently going through our curriculum and my work material to make sure I'm as fluent as I can be at the moment! My clients & peers constantly praise my massive improvement but like what I tell them, it is really Timothy's credit!

Its not only about the Language, but its also about the Culture, and History of China. Our teacher Timothy is really knowledgeable, and all the teachers I have interacted with at Han Hai Language Studio, are well versed into the teaching of Mandarin Chinese. I fully recommend it! Give it a try!

Grace and Timothy are very warm and conscientious individuals who truly care about imparting wisdom to their students. Studying Chinese with Timothy has made the task so much more fun and enjoyable and has also helped me develop a deep appreciation for Chinese culture.

β β β β β I have been with Hanhai for several years and no doubt Hanhai has been the best place to learn and improve Chinese language skill. The teachers are all experienced and making learning experience and environment so much more interesting. Shout out to Timothy Laoshi for being such an experienced and engaging teacher in every lessons I attend. He will go far and beyond to explain, introduce Chinese cultures, poems, idioms and discussing current affairs. Looking forward to my classes every week and 2 hours feels really quick as there are so much more to learn. Highly recommended Hanhai and Timothy Laoshi if you are looking to expand Chinese language ability, knowledge and deeper understanding of Chinese culture!

β β β β β I've been studying Chinese with Timothy θεΈ in the last couple of years and I found his teaching methods very effective. Every lesson is fun and Timothy is able introduce and discuss relevant topics in a very engaging way, focusing on the student interests and adapting to his/her way of learning.
Beside Chinese, I learnt Farsi and German in the past, so I have a relatively sizeable comparison with other teachers ... I can truly state that Timothy has one of the best teaching methods I experienced

β β β β β Chinese is not completely new to me as I have been studying it up until middle school so I already know some of the basics, but what Timothy helped me the most is to understand the recent economical and political development of China, how China fits in from an international perspective, business culture in China, what to say or do under a business meal setting, supplemented with business writing skills, Chinese history and Chinese literature which re-engaged my interest to study Chinese. In addition, they are accommodate me a lot on the last minute scheduling for classes due to work trips. Overall very satisfied with the level of service, teaching style and the depth of knowledge they have.
