Fish are fresh and the portion is just nice. Only complaint is the place looks unkept with boxes near to some tables.

Received an email about another offer from Hitoyoshi Yoshi Sushi on the J-Passport App. Headed with Empress Dowager to try the offer at their outlet over at Harbourfront Centre. Hitoyoshi Yoshi Sushi is located at the ground floor of Harbourfront Centre at the open area in the central atrium in front of Cold Storage Supermarket. The Aki Sashimi Moriawase serves up 2 cuts each of Aka Ebi (Red Prawn), Sake (Salmon), Hotate (Scallops), Kaki (Oyster), Mekajiki (Swordfish), Akami (Lean Tuna), Tai (Sea Bream), Hamachi (Yellowtail or Japanese Amberjack), Akagai (Surf Clam) and a cup of Ikura (Salmon Roe). The set is also served up with 2 bowls of rice and 2 bowls of miso soup. Usually priced at SG$78.60++, it is now going for only SG$38.60++ per set on the J-Passport App. Together with 2 cups of green tea, it all adds up to about SG$50. The set is nothing to scream oishi about. Given the price point, it was considered acceptable. However, service at the restaurant was disappointing. After being seated, it took almost 15 mins before a staff even came to take the order. After that, it was another 20 mins before our order got mistakenly sent to another table who came in 20 mins after us and had ordered the same item, which means they got the dish within 10 mins of ordering or 15 mins of sitting down. It was another 20 mins before the replacement set was sent to our table. From being seated till the dish was in front of us, it took 55 mins! All in a very disappointing dining experience. Very disappointed. General Verdict: Poor Customer Service kills even a semi-acceptable food quality Queue Situation: Generally no queue but expect wait time of 30 mins to 1 hour during meal times. Reservations not accepted Price: SG$38.60++ (Usual Price SG$78.60++) Payment Mode: Cash and all Major Credit Cards

Frequent this restraunt and came here specially for their pitan tofu but they changed the recipe, it is no longer plain pure tofu, they mixed the tofu with crab stick, the tofu was being layered with crabstick like kueh lapis, the combination looked weird and had a sour taste to it. Service was slow and staff was quite unfriendly, food here is expensive.

The food was pretty decent, the pork cutlet was crispy and yet not dry. Sushi and sashimi were acceptable though the sushi looked abit dry.

They serve really generous portions of sashimi. Our group ordered 'Giant Chirashi Don'; massive but not overwhelming. This is really worth the price if you are considering sharing with friends or families. We ordered 'Kaisen Don' as well, and was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the sashimi. They have other options as well; unagi (must try), sushi rolls, udon etc. If you are nearby you should really drop by to try this restaurant out.

We were there on a Friday night and tables were available. Service was good, a lady was serving us. Had Tempura Udon and she automatically asked if tempura sauce was needed, most often we had to request it. Meal for the adult came 1st and kids meal were the last to arrive. Perhaps we came to the wrong place for udon? Tempura was crispy but soup flavour and tempura sauce were pretty light. Not their specialty and more for healthier meal.

Items tend to be on the pricey side and portions are small. But that is made up for by the quality of ingredients. The chirashi came with good sized slices of fish which were really fresh. The menu comprises of a wide range of sets and ala carte items. Staff service is attentive.

tl;dr: Food: 9/10 Worth: 8/10 Service: 9/10 Will pay another visit?: Definitely! Full review: Hidden in the lesser-explored wing of Clarke Quay Central’s ground floor will you find this Japanese Restaurant. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Ambience is pretty decent as this wing of the mall is generally quieter. Their menu encompasses so many aspects of Japanese cuisine, with Sushi, Gunkans, Inari, Handrolls, Sashimi, Fried stuffs, Chirashi dons, Aburi dons, Ramen and some desserts! On the starter menu, you will find “Pitan Tofu”. This is something that is unique to this restaurant and I’ve yet to see in other restaurants’ menu. While it is listed under Tofu, it is by no means a tofu, as the block is actually tamago with crabstick and then covered with creamy sauce made using century eggs and topped off with Tobiko. As for the Aburi Wagyu Sushi with Foie Gras, I was a tad disappointed with the size of the Foie Gras (As you can see from the photo, it was really tiny!). However, it did do it’s job to act like a butter seasoning for the beef. The fillings for the Inaris are very generous and I really liked the way they seasoned their Chuka Idako as it is the dry-er style (Not like those swimming in the red sauce). Both the Spicy Tuna and Ebi fry cheese rolls were really flavourful which I enjoyed. Overall, the star of the meal was definitely the Pitan Tofu! I even took away another portion of it for my mum to taste and she too agreed that it was really good!
