Love the food here, whenever I’m at vivo it’s my goto restaurant!! I am a person who don’t like chawanmushi if its too eggy, the ones here are good. Good comfort food especially after a whole day of shopping in an aircon place. I had the chasyu don… it was good and addictive the chasyu are huge and thick! Good!! (If you don’t like the fatty don’t order) Beef don; my boyfriend’s fav. If you take beef give it a try Mochu + ice cream + red bean; DOPEEE! Love it! Give it a try, i like the matcha one.

Did not eat here, reason being the staff told us, party of 5, to wait 30 minutes while assigning a table meant for 5 customers to a party of 2 even though there are tables for 2 available. When we asked her about it, she acted as if she could not be bothered and our patronage is not important.

Food was surprisingly nice! Salmon Don food portion was great for $9.90. Salmon was fresh. White curry udon was unique and delicious! Something different from usual udon. But karaage slightly oily. Price was reasonable for the food quality n portion

The soup is so creamy and rich with the small piece of butter melted inside. Chasyu was thick and not too fat, and the portion was satisfying. I expected the soup to be saltier since Hokkaido style of ramen tends to be salty, but the saltiness is just nice. Would come back again to try the dons and white curry on the menu next time.

One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in SG. Good price with good taste, open at 11:30 am, better to queue early before open, otherwise will be crowded. Self service ordering and returning the tray. Really recommend!

Horrible food and horrible service! How can anyone say that it's excellent or good food?!?!? Paid almost $30 and for the same price, could have eaten at other better japanese restaurants in Vivo. Absolutely agree that the good reviews are rigged or commented for the sake of getting points. 1) a bunch of people were just standing outside, the service lady approached me to ask if I'm dining-in or taking away. After I said dining-in, she proceeded to walk in-front hence I followed her, thinking she was bringing to my table. However, she was just taking the safe-entry check in paper and turned around, shocked to see me behind her. Without letting me know if I should follow her or asking me to queue etc, she just turned away and proceed to ask another couple to check-in, leaving me standing there and feeling perplexed. Throughout the entire time, she didn't open her mouth to say a single word 2) ordered the ramen and an aburi don, after waiting for 20mins, the funny thing is the ramen (which needs time to cook) took 10 mins faster to come than the aburi don. How long does it take to scoop our rice, place the salmon and then torch it? Note that it was 1.40pm and there wasn't a lunch crowd 3) the table beside me had ordered first, yet my table's food came first. Meaning their food took even longer and I could hear them talking about why my table came first and why it was taking so long lol 4) For context sake, there were 4 staff at the kitchen bar in blue, 1 peeling prawns, another staring at order tickets, and 2 more "cooking". There were more chefs in the kitchen walking in and out too, at least 4 giving that I saw 2 going in and 2 coming out. Why do you need 8 chefs if your food is going to take 20-30mins to serve during non-peak periods?!?! 5) Cut of meat was absolutely horrible. It was so thick and the meat was "smelly" too. Ended up not eating at all. The only saving grace was that the noodles were thick and springy, that's all. The salmon to rice ratio was quite pathetic too, considering other affordable dons such was umi nami To the management, please at least place a queue line outside your restaurant at least some instructions to let customers know. Rather than just allowing people to gather outside. Audacity to charge GST too when there's 0 service. Everything is self service even down to returning the trays. 8 chefs and only 1 server who stands behind the self return. Not sure what kind of logistic it is

My only favorite dish from Hokkaidoya and I literally don’t order any other Dons except for Truffle Barachirashi Don. The flavor is bomb and I would travel to Harbourfront just to have a bowl of this goodness. The sashimi is so fresh and the rice portion is just right. Wasabi is good! Ordering is fuss free and very quick as well! Love the Chicken Karaage in the second photo, you don’t need condiment and it tastes good already ??

Food were good, but the service was seriously lacking. Asking for chili flakes was like asking for gold flakes. The waiter impatiently asked us return our tray. Is this coffeeshop or food court? Try ask courteously instead of ordering us like a policeman. There is no rule to say we must return tray at cafes, if we do so, we doing you a favour, so show some manners please.
