With no queue in sight, an order was quickly made for its Abalone Prawn Noodles. The dish uses jumbo prawns and has Abalone slices, sliced pork, pig's skin together with yellow round noodles. The broth, though thick, was found to be missing the wow factor and tastes more chemical than prawn shell and pork bone broth. Hong Lim Prawn Noodles is a hidden gem! I bought 3 Pork Ribs Prawn Beehoon for myself and my parents today for the first time. I thought it looks good as there were some queue outside their stall. It turned out it was heavenly! The broth is thick and delicious, so well done probably due to the brewing of the prawn shells and pork ribs. Prawns are well-deshelled for convenience so you don't have to worry using your hands to peel the shells. This part is commendable. Furthermore, their pork ribs are tender and I love it; it is just like the Bak Kut Teh kind of pork ribs. My parents love it as well. It has become my comfort food somehow; it tastes so good even when I dabao home to eat many hours later. Portion of the beehoon is a lot for a small size order so it is even more worthwhile for the price paid. Stall owner is friendly too. Would love to order from them again! For convenience sake, I will order from Foodpanda so I can beat the queue :D

The soup is ‘prawny’ and I like it. I added extra $1 worth of slice pork but doesn’t seem to be ‘extra’. For $5 version you get two prawns, sliced into half each. Not bad eat. But I can find better prawn noodles elsewhere.

Flavourful dry prawn pork ribs noodle. Depending on your appetite, there are small, medium & large version. I chose the Med version with 2 large fresh prawns cut into half & few pieces of tender pork ribs. The prawn broth looks perfect however I found that the taste is peppery.
