I ordered $4 char kway teow and $5 oyster omelette. I like that the char kway teow got very nice wok hei with vegetables. Oyster omelette was well fried and not too oily. I was lucky to have ordered before 5:30pm before the queue starts coming in but I saw the queue was moving fast. ???

Very tasty fried oyster omelette and fried koay teow. The starchy parts of the oyster omelette is fried to a crisp, while retaining the chewy parts mixed with the egg. The oyster is cooked just about right and the coriander leaves fried and mixed into the overall omelette gives it a distinct flavor. I really like the fried koay teow, which is fried in a “wet” style. Unlike other stalls, who fry the koay teow on the dry side.

The queue is real, and they probably go through thousands of eggs a day. The draw is really crispy fried potatoes starch in the oyster omelette and definitely the price, only 6.50 for a large portion. Not salty, and taste wise it's ok.

Best Char Kway Teow you can find in Singapore. Managed by an old uncle and his wife, they have been serving old school, traditional Char Kway Teow and Oyster Omelette for years. The Wok Hei is evident on each plate. The smell is so aromatic that you keep coming back for more. Their oyster omelette had a good balance of crispy eggs and juicy oysters. The entire dish was aromatic in taste. Recommended to try while they are still in operation now, before they retires. You will definitely love it.

Not the best but above average. The omelette is crispy and oysters are fresh. I suggest to eat it while it's hot, otherwise the omelette will be too hard to eat. Chilli can be improved.

Char Kway Teow (SGD $4) @ Hougang Oyster Omelette & Fried Kway Teow. . For over 32 years, this elderly wife-husband team of Mdm Lim Suan Eng and Mr Ong Lim Chong have been delighting customers with 2 dishes; their signature oyster omelette and char kway teow. . With her vast experience, Mdm Lim handles the frying of the CKT, doneness can be requested (more wet or dry, more or less char), evident of her skill - I opted for the dry savoury version, which carried robust smoky savoury salty sweet flavour. . Garnished with tender fish cake, crunchy chye sim / chinese flowering cabbage, crisp bean sprouts, wispy egg, chewy lup cheong / dried cured pork sausage, and bouncy blood cockles. . Their home made chili, which contains fresh red chili, garlic, lime juice, and pork lard(!), offers a bright spicy savoury sour kick, shiok.

Fried Oyster Uncle is in his very late years, uncle is old but his food is made with TLC. So why TLC? Well it is because his actions and steps to making this fried oyster. Fried Oyster has a very crunchy texture, which i believe most would like. The starchy bits are not too clunky and there's alot of egg on the portion. At mere $6, a plate for a big one, portion isnt small at all. Fried oyster was savoury with a unique tangy taste (i supposed was from the chili), but has a hint of MSG because i was thirsty after my meal. Not the very bad kind of thirst, but thirsty enough to notice it could have been MSG. Oyster itself is plum and does not taste stale, doesnt have the unfresh smell or after taste which most fried oyster has. I must add that Uncle took the effort to spread out slowly making sure he uses the entire wok to thin out the starch and bater to make it crispy. If you ask if i would head back again? No doubt, i would!

The coffeeshop is located under the block of hdb. Relativly easy to find and its pretty closed to the busstop. Apart from fried oyster, they also have char kway teow. Fried oyster starts from SGD$5.50 while the char kway teow starts from SGD$4 onwards. I was there around late afternoon and there wasnt a crowd. I managed to order upon reaching. Requested for less chili and oil based on the previous review. My food was ready in less than 5mins. The plate of fried oyster omelette came with generous amount of oysters, counted at least five. Taste wise, find it normal, had better one else. It get gelat somehow towards the end, was expecting to be more crispy.
