Just opened joint accounts for wifey and myself. Right from the minute of walking in to the branch for the first time with no prior appointment the staff were all extremely helpful and courteous, as is the case in all of my dealings in Singapore so far. The whole process only took about half an hour. Highly efficient and puts the customer service in the UK to shame, which is admittedly not difficult.

The worst bank I've ever visited in the world. Went to change a cheque and I had to wait 2 hours and 30 minutes in the bank. The staffs are not trained properly at all. The staff who has attended to me is terrible. Ms Raziah Abd Razak, she is not supposed to be there. I will never ever visit any HSBC again in my life.

Try to do fund switch by filling the formed downloaded from the HSBC. The form didnt allow to print due to glitch. Went to the branch on 20/2 to see the staff can help. Failed again at form downloaded from HSBC website. So filled in the paper form with the help of the HSBC staff (from also provided by the branch) thought it will went through. Got phone call on 25 from HSBC said fund switch cannot be carried out because wrong form was used. More frustrating is the staff on the form didnt know it was come from their own branches. And behold the global stock market crash between 24-28 February 2020. Really thanks HSBC.

Unbelievable really... Took out 500 dollars from the HSBC ATM. It gave me only 50 dollar bills (no possibility to specify bill denominations). Walked into the bank, asked to have one of the 50 bills changed into 10 bills... my family is waiting with 3 kids, i can not pay at the MRT ticket booth.... NO, can not be done. Because i don’t have an account eith HSBC Singapore. I said, i used you ATM, you charges me for that, i had no opportunity to select bill denominations, please help me. NO. Wanted to file a complaint, kept me waiting. The the manager comes, who tries to explain, that they have nothing to do with the ATM which is installed at their entrance. Unbelievable. I walked out, i really felt i’ll get a stroke if i spend 20 more sceonds with this manager. Totally incompetent and unhelpful. The best little detail: they have a sign saying: Everybody deserves a little kindness. Congrats my friends, you really scored on that one.

Hopeless and pathetic bank!! Worst bank customer experience I've ever received. HSBC does not accept cash when i tried to start a fixed deposit account. They told me to open a new account in order to have the funds transferred over for the fixed deposit and it will take bloody 3 days then the account can be opened.

1+ hour wait for simple banking transaction. Premier customer service attitude is terrible. So much for claiming to be a world class bank when this is the actual on the ground customer's experience.

Travelling from Canada, an HSBC ATM ate my debit/bank card at the airport. This location wasn’t helpful at first, but I contacted HSBC Canada and they guided me through. Staff are nice and patient, but things were slow at this branch (4+ hours including wait times) but I eventually got a Emergency Encashment Service, no fees charged and finally got my cash I am an HSBC premiere member, not sure if it would have been the same if you’re a normal member

Worst banking experience. Visited twice to open a new savings account and to clarify few points. 1st time 2 hours waiting time, 2nd time one hour waiting time. I don’t think anyone want to bother to deposit money like this. What I understood was, HSBC don’t wanted my money.
