β β β β β Located on level 1, Parkway Parade Shopping Centre. Jack's place has a good selection of both Asian and western food. The service is good and the prices are very reasonable. They offer set lunch, there is a change in the cost. The food can further improve in the presentation and taste, especially the healthier Choice Lunch set.
Hot-grilled steaks are the most popular dish and they will be on the set lunch menu without fail except on weekends. Good service is one selling point at this branch. It has a good selection to suit all palates and budgets.

β β β β β Contemplated between 3 and 4, but went with 4 because of quick and friendly service. One of the many childhood restaurants for singaporeans, known for good for value lunch sets.
Paid $20 for:
1. Soup of the day with bread
2. NZ Sirloin steak with teriyaki sauce
3. Coke
4. Dessert
Overall, while itβs a bang for your buck, food standards seem to have dropped. Steak is average, soup tastes like canned Campbell, while dessert is surprisingly nostalgic - butter cake. To be honest, itβs less than $20 for a full course lunch, cannot expect much.
Would I want to see this restaurant go? No wayβ¦ itβs a classic. But would I like to have improvements to food standards? Definitelyβ¦

β β β β β It has been at least 20 years since I last visited Jack's Place @ Parkway. Really don't have any particilar great memories about this place. It remains pretty much the same. I ordered the Thursday special Deep Fried Chicken which I feel that it was not as crispy as what I like it to be. It came with a bowl of shop, one drink and a small dessert. It was value for money but nothing special.

β β β β β Their festive set dinner wasnβt worth the money. Slipper lobster was quite rough and tasteless. Salad had zero dressing (did they miss it out?) and the garlic bread didnβt seem toasted.
Dessert was the smallest cupcake that Iβve ever seen with a βMerry Christmasβ wording when Christmas was well over and it was New Yearβs Eve.
Tableware was also very dated and could do with a big revamp.

β β β β β Went as a family of 4. Long Q at the entrance. But was not daunted as was expecting some good old steaks!...boy, was I utterly disappointed at the end of the meal. Ordered 3 soups, cheesy fries, seafood salad and half dozen oyster. Main course were 4 steaks, lamb chops and fish. Steaks were tasteless..I had to add salt and pepper when I eat it. Lamb chops were badly overdone...hard and dry. Oh and the oysters were frozen oysters because it was frozen cold when a bite was taken in. Spent $189 for a unsatisfying meal. Never again. Thanks.

β β β β β Came here for a birthday lunch with my mom. Good food overall.
The Sirloin Steak & Chicken were both well cooked and tasty. The Lobster Slipper Pasta was cooked al dente, but the lobster was a little small.
I'm removing one star because the lady at the counter wasn't very polite when my mom asked her about a Great Eastern voucher she wanted to use. And when my mom requested Black Forest Mousse Cake, they served her Chocolate Mousse Cake.

β β β β β Well Jack's place has its old school nostalgic feel since I was a kid. Nothing much has changed over the years. Despite the covid pandemic, they have still stuck by for so long. I would usually go for their executive set lunch. A simple steak on their sizzling hot plate.
What brings me back is always the baked potato with loads of sour cream, bacon bits n spring onions. It's always a comforting meal which is affordable for the working class.

β β β β β Came here for Christmas lunch. Weβre half expecting the place to be full. Which it is but thankfully we got a seat without having to wait for long. We had their Xmas sets and we upgraded one soup to lobster bisque and one cake. And these upgrades are definitely worth the money. Had the wines too which are decent. Goes well with the food. Service is great as usual.
