In this use and throw era, watch repair craftsmen are rare and often forgotten. We can always buy a new watches, but we can never replace the memories and sentiments that were attached to those old ones. The shop owner Ms Serene spoke both English and Mandarin well. From those customers of various races that came to look for her, she must also be able to speak Malaya too I presumed. I needed some adjustment on my watch and was initially a little nervous of the possible damage in the repairing process. Serene wasted no time to get right to it and through the entire process, I observed that she was gentle, careful and took special effort to avoid scratching or damaging my watch. Attitude, attention to details, and respecting the customer's goods is sometimes more precious and important than know how and skill. Serene is friendly, understanding and helpful. She do simple repairs to watches, change batteries, straps, lengthen and shorten steel straps etc She also sell good quality, japan made, Rhythm Brand wall clocks at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended. Small neighbourhood shops and repair places do not get our attention normally. Business like these will soon be extinct if they are not able to get enough business to stay viable. I encourage all with the need to please visit her shop and keep our neighbourhood shops alive for our own sake. They need our support.
