β β β β β Located on the 2nd floor of Bishan Junction 8, this franchised coffee place serves good coffee which is made more affordable by their coffee card. If you like coffee and pass by a Joe & Dough, do get the card - its worth it.
In terms of food options, there are cakes and my personal favourite is the pandan bar and the chocolate banana cake as these are not dry and is of the optimal sweetness.
The only downside is that seats are limited due to prevailing safe distancing requirements, but this should not be an issue once we get past this covid episode.
Staff are friendly and hardworking. Do remember to check in as required, so that their lives are made that slightly easier!

Taste is borderline satisfactory
β
Delightful presentation
β οΈ Not really worth the money (SGD $8.00) for current portion size
β οΈ As well go for 2 cakes for only $8.00.

β β β β β Did a short tea break today with my partner. The Chai was good and so was the crossiant sandwich. The mocha my partner was decent too. A good pit stop for a break.

β β β β β First, about the good things. Coffee was good, food decent, albeit pricey. Now the bad. With reference to the attached picture, I arrived at the entrance (start of pink arrow) and seeing the cafe was crowded at the front, I circled to the left to check the back of cafe. I stood there (where the pink arrow ends) to wait for my friends and for a table to free up. While standing there, I noticed a young couple standing where I first started. Where the yellow arrow points, 2 ladies got up and left, then I walked to that table to sit down. About a minute later, one of your staff Gary, came to the table, while pointing to the couple in front, told me I needed to queue, which meant he is in the opinion that the couple came before. I disputed and firmly told him I came before the couple. He made a smug sound reaction which really annoyed me. If customers can only enter and sit in the premise from the front, why is there no sign to say so? If there is no sign indicating so, do you expect your customers to stand at the front and not look for an empty table themselves? If customers can't enter and sit from any other entrances, why are the other entrances not cordoned or something? People from other tables who overheard the convo I had with your staff may think I have "cut the queue"! To be fair to your staff, I spoke with him after the incident, while I was ordering and told him the way he handled things, was not great. And he apologized. You management people, if you have a certain sitting system, put in the needful like cue poles and signages. Don't leave it up to your staff to manage. They already have a lot of things to juggle at the same time!

β β β β β Ordered the set with cuppacino and pandan cake. Great combo. The place is small and you must have a strong back to sit on chair without back support. Indirectly they are hinting you not to sit too long. Slurp, eat and go.

β β β β β Many people do not like scones. I learnt to appreciate it when I was introduced by a friend who was many years older than me. Especially when scone goes with butter, it will bring out the flavors of the scone. Having said this, the texture and the contents of the scone should be just right in order to taste good.
Here, I tried their orange scone. I would say, it tasted good. The pieces of orange mixed into the scone, giving a little moisture so that the scone is not too dried, and it definitely gives a refreshing outcome. Pairing with the coffee I liked, felt like heaven... ? Just a description of how I am having a good time, enjoying a relaxing day... Anyway, I like their skinny flat white. Had a medium taste of coffee. If they can make it stronger, will be very good.

β β β β β Good coffee, blueberry muffin and dark chocolate brownie were warmed before serving. Brownie was not too sweet, same with the muffin. Small space so seating is a bot tight. Note that there is a one hour limit when dining here so manage your expectations.
