★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the famous Ah Lim fish ball meepok noodle which I did a review before. I know Ah Lim actually from the old days at the long times ago location Jalan Tua Kong where I used to live. Typically a 45 minutes wait during peaks or weekend then, now I don't know since I usually go when it isn't peak. Love the dry meepok fishball noodles, highly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an offshoot of the famous Jalan Tua Kong Mee Pok. Apparently they have a few outlets in Singapore, mainly in the east.
I tried the Mee Pok, Bak Chor Mee and Mee Hoon Kueh here. Mee Pok is just average in my opinion as the noodle is too thick, whilst the sauce is just a tad too oily.
The Bak Chor Mee is ok, but is not exactly the best in the area.
The Mee Hoon Kueh on the other hand is really good. It has the right texture and taste and is just right!
I’d recommend this place for all only for the Mee Hoon Kueh
