Hail from the Malaysia East Coast cuisine, the nasi kerabu is a local delight. Traditionally the dish consist of the blue rice using natural colour from bunga telang (Blue Butterfly Pea Flower) and interestingly the heroes are the condiments that comes with it: toasted coconut, fresh herbs and bean sprouts or finely sliced cabbage, budu (anchovy sauce), salted egg and fried fish (yellowtail scad or mackerel). Mixed it like how you would eat nasi ulam. This version was not too bad but it did not transport me to Kelantan, eating this fisherman dish by the beach. It served with ayam goreng berempah (marinated fried chicken), chilli vinegar sauce (as a replacement for the budu), salted egg, toasted coconut, fish crackers, fresh herbs and bean sprout. It looks like they used a food colouring instead of the natural colour. They also add on the steamed chilli stuffed with fish paste which was yummy! The chicken was perfect and served hot. The rice was a bit soggy. There’s some kind of a sauce underneath the rice but I can’t make out what it was even after mixing the rice. The chilli vinegar certainly stood out and toasty texture of the coconut elevate the flavours. More fresh herbs would be nice to balance the flavour. My mum ordered the Tiger Tears Beef (Daging Harimau Menangis) which came with their homemade sauce. I wish I could bottled the sauce, it was very good! Spicy with serious heat in there!

Had their Nasi kerabu with fried chicken. Tasted great except that the chicken was slightly over done.

Presentation of the nasi kerabu was good for hawker food. The blue pea coloured rice mixed with the various condiments was light yet flavourful. The honey grill chicken was fragrant but the portion was a tad small & slightly dry. The sambal pedas was spicy & uniquely different.

First time tasted the ayam goreng berempah and tiger tears beef with Nasi kerabu. Not bad. Loved the taste especially when dipped with the spicy sambal. Awesome!

Guys you all need to come here. Best kerabu in Singapore. Value for money for the portion size, fantastic taste. Came here at around 7pm and Ayam goreng berempah has sold out by then so we opted for Ayam percik and we have no regret!! It’s so good!! We usually order one portion of food to share but we ended up ordering one more plate after finishing other food cos we really love it! Keep it up guys we will definitely revisit!! ??

It’s so appetizing just by looking at it! The grilled chicken and spicy beef are equally good. Definitely can’t do without the chili that comes with it. Love it! Keep it up guys!
