Thank you, Pak for hosting dinner! And always a joy to meet A. The conversation were flowing as usual and glad to see everyone coping very well during this time. The fresh produce, with lots of efforts to go thru, did not go unnoticed. Like most things from Japan, what seemed simple often have many things going in the background to achieve the current status. We heard from the Chef Kaji many Japanese restaurants are closing too, just as many opened as well. It’s really a tough situation for all involved. Let’s enjoy and appreciate what we have. The kappo cuisine is not as well appreciated in Singapore due to the complexity. A lot of efforts and work go behind the preparation, cooking and presentation. All the details must be looked into, and no effort is spared by both the Chef and the service team. Excellent work to Kappo Kaji! #andrewtanatomisingapore

It’s definitely one of the best Kappo (Kyoto style) Japanese Restaurant in Singapore. One seating and very reasonable sake, the menu and ingredients are very fresh and premium grade. I was recommended very good sake. Not a Shirako lover, but Kaji-san and Wayne convinced me to try and the fried Shirako is definitely my fav now. Very dish is prepared simple with the natural taste in mind and definitely a very hearty meal.

truly an amazing kyoto kappo dining experience with the freshest seasonal ingredients from japan. the chefs were very friendly. worth a repeat visit to experience other seasons' menu

Went for dinner with friends and the food is amazingly different from the usual sushi places. Kappo Kaji features the fresh produce from Kyoto and brings to the table some traditional dishes. Love the tastes and sights. Service is also excellent. Highly recommended.

It’s not only my second time having Kappo. The 1st time was Kappo Shunsui. Not going to compare them here. Personally, like Omakase, a Kappo experience is not just about the food, the place, the chef, the service crew, the sake, but also the companions, and last but not least, the other dinners sharing the moment. Friends and I had a great time last night. Excellent food and sake, a friendly chef Kaji San, a team of hardworking staff, my 2 companions who enjoyed great food as much as I do, plus a friendly from Brunei lady who were eating alone. I wish the dinner could last longer, but a full stomach didn’t agree. This would be my choice of restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. And if you are like me, having had enough of summer season sashimi/sushi/Omakase, do try Kappo Kaji for a change.

Visited them on 23/2. Food was amazing! 4 of us were blown away on every dishes served. The dishes were executed perfectly and the presentation were well plated. Can really tell the amount of effort which the team have engaged in. Fresh premium ingredients were used too. Easily 1 of the BEST Kappo cuisine in SG! Great hospitality by Kaji San & Wayne! Good environment, the service staffs were attentive & friendly. We were lucky enough to savour the pufferfish served in 2 different method. The pufferfish was really the star of the night. The meat was tender, sweet and juicy. Couldn’t ask for more. The squid was just good as it is. Up next is the fried Shirako and Kinki Donabe. Upon footing the bill, we have arranged a session in Apr. We are really excited and looking forward to patronise them again. Keep up the good work! See you team!

Experience the authentic Kyoto fine dining in Singapore, created by Chef Kaji. The seating capacity is limited, and customers can see directly how the chef prepares the food in front of you. It is an intimate and personal dining experience, and Chef Kaji will show and explain the ingredients and the food to you. You can also share what is your food preferences to him. The food is presented with a personal touch by Chef Kaji, you will be impressed by the taste and crafted presentation, bring the authentic food from Kyoto to Singapore. Available for lunch (around $200++) and dinner (above $300++) usually the chef will present around twelve dishes for the customer, there is no menu shown on the table, it depends on availability of the ingredients on that day, direct imported from Japan.
