It was my first time I tried this stall, I saw the picture of the curry Yong tau fu uses the thin Hakka noodle. So when I saw the owner boil the normal yellow noodle when I order, I told her immediately I want the thin noodles as in the picture, she said she cannot change cos she cook the noodle. Worst is she insisted the picture show Normal yellow noodle and blame me for not telling her earlier. I explain it is first time I am buying from her, and i Told her I didn't expect the noodle she give is Different from the picture. She then rudely ask me if I Still want the food then. Frankly, though I fInd the food is not bad, this is the first and last time I Am getting from the stall, because Service is bad, stall owner is rude and service also slow, I can find other good food In Toa Payoh or other Hakka stall that is comparable to hers with better service attitude.

Taste wise its good as not easy ro find handmade food at neighbourhood. If u dun mind the price, once awhile go there to eat to satisfy your craving on handmade yong tau fu is ok. If you eat there, be prepared for the long que , long waiting to find a place to sit coz the place is small plus sometime e seller might be rude. If you packet, make sure u count the number of pcs of the yong tau fu. The pieces varies. The sizes varies. Cannot choose the variety also. Only the price is the same.

First time trying Hakka Yong Tau Foo and happy that I found this stall. Noodles are al dente (exactly how I like it) and the ingredients are hot, fresh and very tasty without being too greasy. Will return to try the soup version and other items in future.

One of the best Hakka Yong tofu in Toapayoh, hidden in the market. Tofu pieces fresh & tender, keeps one return for more.

One of the nicer yong tau fu stalls i have tried. The meat fill for the items are delicious and generous - 4/5. But each piece is $0.90 - 3/5. Service is average - 3.5/5.

This is a very authentic homemade Hakka Yong Tau Fu stall. You will like it! Rarely I see Hakka Mince Meat Noodle, the meats and the Hakka way of mixed-meats, which use as a stuffing in Yong Tau Fu, make the bowl so tasty. The Yong Tau Fu is great too, not over fried like some other Hakka Yong Tau Fu stalls, not oily. The filling is fantastic, you can taste the fragrance of fish and pork meat, and i believe dry fish traditional Chinese like to use in many chinese cuisines. Not forgetting the chili sauce! It is homemade, fragrance and spicy. The owner operated the stall for over 40 years.

This was cooked by an old ah Ma and probably grand daughter taking orders and money. I got the home cooked vibes when I tasted it. Nice balanced sauce. Not too over powering. The fried ingredients were quite oily but ok.

Pretty decent bowl of Hakka YTF at $4 with mee pok and five pieces of accompaniments. Fair portion for a value of $4. Bittergourd, eggplant and beancurd puff items are hand stuffed with a good amount of minced pork. The other two fish paste pieces taste generic and machine-made. Default order seems to be dry mee pok version, a set of five YTF pieces with a dash of chilli sauce, unless otherwise specify. Mee pok was cooked masterfully with the right consistency and al dente the way I prefer. Unlike other Hakka YTF offerings, this stall does not serve their noodles with a scoop of minced pork condiment. However, the accompanying YTF pieces are tasty enough to lift the flavour without minced pork condiments atop the noodles. Soup is provided and it's delightful with natural sweetness. Update: Opted for auntie's mee kia when I takeaway these days and the noodles have always held well on its own hours later. Repeat customer here ? Let's do our little bit for our common home and use our own takeaway containers dear fellow brothers and sisters. ?
