I won’t really recommend this restaurant if you are a sake lover. The food was generally okay but obviously not worth for the pricing. I won’t say the sashimi were very fresh. The service was not impressive and didn’t look welcoming. They didn’t clear our finished dishes in a long time, and were not knowledgeable about the food related questions. The restaurant was extremely quite and the chef was just awkwardly standing there. The waitress lady obviously had no idea about any sake and alcohol-related experiences, when I asked her to recommend the dry sake options and asked her to introduce the SMV levels of the sakes, she had completely no idea what was I asking. She didn’t even ever heard about what’s SMV. She just pointed at the sweetest sake and told me this is the dry one?? I was really speechless… as a so-called high end omakase restaurant isn’t it normal to hire at least one sommelier..? Or at least someone know about sake and the drinks??? Two persons we paid around $450 for not impressive dinner and I won’t be coming again.

Edamame was undercooked and not thoroughly salted. A lot of the pieces were yellowing or had dark spots, showing that the edamame are not fresh. We ordered an $80++ grilled A5 wagyu that came out COLD, as if it has been sitting out for a while. It wasn’t warm or lukewarm - it was cold. When we complained, they simply put the beef back on the grill and made it well done, which was a terrible fix. They eventually made us a new plate but the meat was overcooked - unclear if it was the same well done meat, just heated up again, but it looked like it. They should not serve meat if they don’t know how to properly cook it. The grilled salmon was just okay, so were the two makis that we ordered. Extremely underwhelming and overpriced for that quality ($270+ for two). I don’t recommend and would not go back.

We had omakase before, and maguro lunch set $30++ this time. Honestly not worth it. Omakase was overprice and maguro lunch set was not fresh. As a lady it wasn’t enough. Staff is not treating customers well (don’t willing to help much).

One of the best omakase sushi places in town. Already quite impressed with Chef Kazuhiro’s work since his days in Sushi Kaishin, this one ups the notch a bit as it introduces grill as well. Conveniently located in the heart of the CBD.

Sushi and omakase at its best, from what you will find is a man at the top of his game - chef Kazuhiro Ichiyama. I have been enjoying his very consistent work for more than 4 years now (even though he's been at it for 3 decades or so) and can't sing enough praises. Don't take my word for it though (and apologies for the amateurish photos) - decide for yourself!

Paid 170++ for the omakase. Not sure if it was worth the money. The food was OK but the service was not up to scratch. For example, the waiters and assistant "chef" did not know what fish was being served. The cutlery was also not being cleared after a long time after the completion of a dish and I mean a long time. I thought the sushi set was better value than the omakase so order the sets instead! Appertisers were average. Might as well not serve.

Food is average but since it is very near to me, I pop by sometimes. Been there a few times and today shall be the last time as the service is terrible. The lady waitress speaks to people in a condescending manner and keeps an unhappy face all the time. I usually ignore her but today she was very rude and grumbled loudly in Tagalog. She should consider if she wants to work in the service line if she is usually unhappy and rude to customers when customers asked for something. Not recommended to bring customers nor business lunch there as it doesn't bring about any happy vibes to have a meal there. I get it that people have moods or tired if they are too busy. It was only 11.30am, the restaurant was not busy - only 3 patrons at the sushi counter, but she was already in the worst of her moods. No point spending good money to see a black face early in the day.

Super fresh sushi n innovative dishes kazu san will feed you all the best stuff until you declare full. Certainly very high ROI at this Japanese run place, don't need to pay $400 at those hard to book Japanese chef sushi place. Pictures here are from multiple visits
