New stall in coffeeshop at hdb 31 holland close.. coffee shop is newly renovated in Aug 21. Fried rice stall is the corner. Had the pork cutlet rice, tastes good and service was quite fast. Coffee shop also sells other stuff like fish soup, chicken rice, nasi lemak, etc.

Standard is around the same as the other stores. At least they fixed the quality issues between different outlet. But I think the main complain is the oiliness of the pork chop. As compared to the other restaurants that serve fried rice with pork chop, they tend to be less oily but still relatively fragrant. However, that is my only nitpick. ?

Love the short grain rice with pork chop. I've not tried the Tom Yum or Mala fried rice but the original and XO sauce fried rice are really good. Big portions too! Must try the sambal chilli that comes with the rice. Staff are generally nice and smiley. Cook is accommodating when I bring extra ingredients to add into the rice.

King of fried rice is finally at Holland V area! Had the Egg fried rice with pork cutlet and the taste is pretty good. The pork cutlet is generously large and the rice is well fried. There is just a tad of wok hey and wished it has more. Price is definitely lesser than Din Tai Fung but a little higher than usual dishes in a coffee shop.

Disclaimer - I have not tried the original version at Golden Mile so I can't benchmark whether this outlet's version is as good or not at all comparable. It is hard to pick fault at this price point, after all, it tasted reasonably, like fried rice. But that's the point. The hype around this brand raised my expectations and I really wanted to be blown away by a flavorful plate of evenly stirred rice blossoming with intense wok-hei. It wasn't. All I left with is the separate taste of cooked rice, and fried egg. I've definitely had better from tze-char stalls.

Wanted to try King of fried rice because of the publicity on Social media and press. Visited their latest outlet at Holland with high expectation, but greatly dissapointed. The fried rice is too bland and no wok hey at all. Quantity wise, pork chop + fried rice can be considered good portion for the price. Not sure if the quality of the fried rice from their other outlets is the same, but will not try again.

Fried rice may be pricier than those in the typical zi char stall but is reasonable for the good quality food. Rice contained generous of egg and the pork chop was thick and nicely done. Some may find it bland but I like that it is but too salty (eat with the chilli to spice it up). However, the fried rice really lacked wok hei. Also, cashless payment should be available in this day and age.

located in holland village food center, this place was always in food blogger recommendation. I was very tempted bc of the fried rice style and the pork chop was so different from usual katsu image. so my friend told me this outlet was near her workplace and we agreed for dinner there. it's a self-service outlet, ordering thru cashier and pay, then they'll have queue number on the receipt and flash it out when yours ready. I ordered the egg fried rice, with pork cutlet ($6.90). it tasted slightly oily for fried rice, but it's very good, the rice was hot and it was seasoned very well. aside from that, they also have big chunk of pork cutlet on top of the fried rice, never i thought i will ever taste pork cutled cooked this way. it was very interesting to know that it has no flour skin. and it was still cooked nicely. scoring time; Food 4/5 Taste 4/5 Price 3/5 Service 3/5 Ambience 3/5 Location 3/5 Overall score of 3.3 out of 5 stars, the only issue was the location. Would i come back? YES! Absolutely! Would i recommend this place? YES! yummy! The price was reasonable and the portion is so big!
