★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Occupying the place vacated by Yoshi, this new omakase restaurant is worthy of its predecessor. Reasonable pricing, spectacular food and great service. Would return again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful dining experience at Kiyose. The meal was beautifully executed by Chef Shimpei, one can feel the effort he has put in trying to present the best seasonal produce while keeping the prices reasonable.
On our 2nd visit the following week, Chef Shimpei tweaked the menu so that we can try different dishes. The service team was also very attentive. We will definitely be dining here a lot more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent set menu with reasonable price (for omakase anyways). Excellent selection for sakes. The dishes were well executed and the chef is a very nice person. However something is missing in taste, compared to other better places, at the same level as Yoshi which it replaced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After rebranding, the new Kappo kaiseki opened its door to the public, now they only serves omakase. The new chef Shimpei brought us a brand new menu with some really interesting dishes, I like the idea of having seasonal seaweed on top of the chawanmushi, the combination is great. Oshiokuji rice dish is great, especially the pickled huai shan Chinese yam. However for the seasonal sashimi, I would recommend the restaurant to keep it to lesser varieties, 7 different types of fishes are just too much, the huge taste contrast between each fish is not so great.
