Felt that the dentist did not do a proper assessment and was more interested in just giving a referral letter and shooing us away as soon as we entered. My family member wanted to do a new pair of dentures. The moment the dentist saw that she was wheelchair-bound, he wanted to refer her to Singapore Dental Centre. My family member doesn't have any cognitive impairment and could respond to the dentist's instructions if he has intended to do a proper assessment. Could have just let receptionist turn us away when they saw the wheelchair outside. Moreover, despite having fixed an appointment, we waited for 30 mins - there was more than enough time to let us know that they do not attend to wheelchair bound patients. Wasted our time and deprived the Merdeka subsidies my family member is entitled to. I went to seek a second opinion from another private clinic and the dentist explained to us the pros and cons of having him do the dentures versus that of Singapore Dental Centre, and the dentures procedure. This was a proper assessment / consultation, unlike my experience at Lim Dental Surgery. Can't help but feel that he just wanted to earn the "consultation" money despite providing no much value.
