The lor mee broth may not as good and kind of blend in typical lor mee standard. However, the starting price for $2.50 a bowl with braised meat, braised egg, fish cakes is quite worth it. I added $1 more for the fried fish and turns out 4 pieces .. it was value for money. The noodle a little overly cooked and the broth is kind of blend. You need to add on more vinegar if you like strong taste and adding the garlic and home made chili is a must.. yummy!

Haha read the earlier reviews of a notorious Aunty who manned this stall continuously irritates its customers. Anyway I politely conveyed my order for Fish Lor Mee $4 pack to go. Quickly she prep n packed within 5mins in 3 packs diligently leaving pleasantly satisfied. Ate after warming up in my kitchen, fish bites was still crunchy goes well with lor gravy. Rating 6/10

Should have read the review before I order. Definitely not my type of Lor Mee. $2.50 is the basic. Not much ingredients to expect. Added on $1 fried fish.

Extremely average with lower than average portions. I last ate this a few years back and I would say that the quality has dropped quite a bit. If you have a lor mee craving, this might be able to temporarily scratch it but I wouldn't recommend it if someone is looking for something nice to eat in the area.

Not the first time encountering the notorious aunty with an attitude. Went to get some fried fish and was holding on to a $50 note. Aunty went to pack the fish. Before she passed me the food, she saw that I was holding a $50 note. She took the bag of fried fish back to her stall and proceeded to do her own things. I was confused for a moment on her actions. Only when asked, she said she not selling, “no change, how to sell you?”

Usually distracted by the other famed hawkers in the star studded Hong Lim Hawker Centre, this Lor Mee do get some lunch queues though not too long. Touted as the cheapest Lor Mee you can find, menu starts from $2.50 to $3.50. And you can add deep fried battered fish on the side from $1,$2 to $3. What does $2.50 Ma Bo Noodles gets you? Supposedly braised flat noodles with egg, pork, ngo hiang, fish cake and fried fish as the tray advert goes. I went for $3.50 and $2 fish on the side. Topped my share of red cut chillies, vege and of course garlic and black vinegar. Well for a start, I when I toss my noodles absently I was looking for but no braised pork slices can be found. Somewhat disappointed since for many famed Lor Mee the star is always lor ba or braised pork belly slices besides the broth. Fish cake and ngo hiang in ultra thin slices and the ngo hiang is not proper ngo hiang we're used to but commercial flavoured fish cake. Half a braised egg and 2 pieces of battered fish. My fried fish on the side, for $2 worth gets me like 8 pieces of battered fish. At least they were crispy to the bite. Just great crunch at value. The good thing is the herbal broth is quite light, some might find watery, but at least not too thick and starchy and makes for too rich and heavy. Felt a bit thirsty after the meal so I guess MSG is quite involved. Overall a 3 star experience for great value at $2.50 just don't expect too much at that price

Despite read-up was not positive, I tried with no queue. Crispy fried fish and fresh taupok is a plus in early morning. Noodle is normal ; makes the $3 Laksa bowl value for money.

Auntie 1 lady show when i came by before 2pm. Very nice auntie and advise us to make sure we check our change carefully whenever we make purchases so that wont get cheated. Food wise is pretty much the standard taste.
