★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Portions were small for the price range. Food took really long to arrive although there was only one other table because there was only one person preparing the food. English Breakfast ($19) came with mushroom, scrambled egg, vegetable, 2 tiny pieces of baguette, a small sausage that tasted cheap and 2 burnt slices of bacon. Friend ordered a seafood aglio olio and the pasta was still hard. Also a small portion. Was so unsatisfactory. No complaints about service though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cafe has good potential. Always full house and packed with customers. Nice place to have a cuppa.
BUT the service is slow due to only 2 staffs working on a weekend or peak hours. Imagine the 2 staffs have to take orders, prepare drinks, pack online orders, clean tables, refill hot water, etc.
For the management, please seriously look into the manpower issue. It is affecting the overall experience for the customers. For the 2 staffs, can see they are tired rushing around but kudos for being patient, and fulfilling all the customers needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There used to be a PB on the lower floor but that is closed and going to be replaced by Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. So this is the only branch left, focusing more on meals than bread. Still a selection of breads and patisserie available. Rating for patisserie takeaway. Service was friendly enough, and packed immaculately (didn't crush, even on the way home by bus). Prices are generally high(ish), and quality quite good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An upmarket version of Paris Baguette. The design is done very well. Whilst the presentation of the pastries are appealing, the flavors are only average at best. The coffee is surprisingly aromatic though.

Comfortable and cozy atmosphere for dine-in at second floor.
The staff at first floor is slow, they're more focus on delivery order than the guests in front of them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It gets quite busy at Jewel with every cafe practically fully packed in the afternoon. However the staff at Maison really helps to move the crowd along to make sure that there is a proper queue system for seat availability. The coffee was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the few places in Jewel that seems to have tables available especially when you need one. It has a minimalist French design and carries a broad range of pastries and cakes. The menu is decidedly French. I ordered the dark chocolate Palmer and a flat white. The price points are reasonable. Customer service is acceptable. They are responsive. The dark chocolate Palmer is a winner. The pastry is light and fluffy but the dark chocolate that was richly coated on it brings out the flavor. The coffee is good but not exceptional. This is a place for you to take a breather, enjoy some pastries and coffee and watch the world goes by. It is therapeutic.
