I'm here for the lunch buffet spread. During the solar eclipse day. Quite average I must say. The highlight was the peanut chocolate log cake and the chicken rice. Everything else was quite ordinary. Service was fast and good though :)

Around this time every year, durians would be the craze of the season. Even hotels get into the act. Used to be just Goodwood Park with their famous annual durian high tea buffet; recently, Marriott has joined in the fun. I thought it was a nice change to try something different this year - Goodwood does an entree of a choice of local food coupled with the durian pastry/dessert buffet - Marriott has a whole selection of hot food - indian corner (curries and briyanis), nasi lemak corner, chicken rice corner, dim sum corner, chinese food corner (ee fu noodles etc), freshly cooked laksa, and its usual Marriott Cafe selection of seafood and sushi selection. There are also nyonya kuehs, DIY shaved ice, and ice cream for dessert. To be honest, I thought that the hot food quality was pretty average fare - nothing that wows me for a second helping. But to be fair, there is a huge variety given that it's aimed at high tea. The durian desserts were pretty good though, and again, a huge selection of whatever you can think of that goes with durian - strudel, bread pudding, cake, swiss roll, jelly pudding with red bean (interesting one!), puff, mousse, tart, crepes etc. My favourite was the durian puff and durian cheese tart. I thought the jelly idea was pretty interesting, and it's always nice to have a live cooking station (for the durian crepes). At S$45++ per head, it's pretty good value for money (OCBC and Citibank cardholders get a 20% off) but I hope that they will improve the quality of the hot food next time. Otherwise I think one should just aim for multiple rounds of durian pastries/desserts ??

Nice buffet meal at the Marriott- international cuisine with quite a large variety of food n dishes. Many Asian cuisines, with curries, stir fries and desserts. Starters were sea food based with cold dishes n Sashimi. All in it was pretty good value for the price in terms of quality of food. Seatings were pleasant n comfortable as it was the Marriot n the service was good n attentive. Quite a nice dinner if one is going with friends or family.

Lovely service staff, good food, great selection for seafood offering. Location is convenient and within CBD. Ambiance is relax. Went here for our anniversary dinner and was treated with a candle lit ice cream cake which is quite a nice touch - thank you. Value for money as they have DBS 50% buffet promotion till end of March 2020. Shout out to Kent/Kendrick who had provided an excellent customer service making an overall lovely customer experience to us. Thank you and keep up the excellent work!

Came here for hotel buffet breakfast was the selection was above average. A good range of western, Asian, fruits, desserts, and a noodle station. The noodle station was great - choose what you want and how much you want and then it’s cooked in front of you. Disappointed that some foods like dumplings were broken and hard. Service was great. Seating was squished as they fit too many tables in.

I think for a 5-star hotel, their service was not of standard. My friends and I found it quite hard to get the service staff's attention, which I believe could be because they reduced the number of staff due to the pandemic. However, their food was nice! I was pleasantly surprised by the Impossible meat options as I am vegetarian.

Marriott Cafe is part of the AMEX Love Dining program and it was quite a pleasant experience. The COVID situation has made this a deserted Cafe (which is great!). What was really disappointing is that the Steak is not part of the program. I tried the Wagyu burger.... too dry in my opinion. And then I ordered the Cod fish and chips which was surprisingly delicious!

Here Dec 2020 for Christmas meal, price is reasonable comparatively to other hotels, took their set menu and we all ordered a variety of dishes. Started off with fresh cold seafood platter. As for mains, quality is not bad especially for their lamb, fish and mushroom soup. Desserts are good but their bread is quite commercial.
