MAT Western - 122 Bedok North Street 2

Hawker pizza that was mentioned on 8 days. Thought I would give it a go. Ordering is efficient and the pizz was served in a reasonable time. The pizza however was not great. I understand rustic but the pizza felt sloppy. You can see some of my pizza slices are more crust than topping. Also the centre had a layer of liquid which wasn't enjoyable. Just OK but needs some focus on quality.

The food at Mat Western is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place and the chef & staffs are so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place :)

Great Pizza and Steak! Abit of a waiting time for food but highly understandable due to demand. Good quality steak and pizza. Brought home 3 pizzas, all still good after afew hours. Will def come again ?

This is the second time we had Mat Western. We had taken out two pizzas: Eggplant and caramelised onions, and Chicken pesto during our first visit. We are impressed with the dough. This evening, we decided to try their meat dish and pasta: Chicken Chop with mushroom sauce, and Prawn Aglio. Both were done exceptionally well. The Aglio is the best we had at this price point.

Love love love to come here. The food is just love. Aglio olio superb! Pizza amazing! Seem like short of manpower but the orders are handled really well. Great work chef!

This is definitely a hidden gem for good pizzas. A Muslim owned stall that sells hand made pizzas, pastas and some meat chops and fish and chips. The owner is an awesomely honest and hardworking French guy, churning out everything on the menu alone when I was there in the evening. I was there at about 730pm and he was manning the stall alone. Asked him if he had any help and he said the part timer that was supposed to be there did not appear due to some reasons. I told him take his time in making my order of pizzas. Looking at him doing this and that, makes me wanna go in and help. I saw how he takes every pizza dough, hand shaped it, sprinkle generous ingredients and bakes them one by one. In between baking the pizza, he moves on to cook the pasta, chop the onions, then move to pack the food for takeaways and move on the next item and cashiering. It is simply a 1 player playing overcook game by himself ?. Waited about 35 minutes for the fluffy pizza to appear. Had ordered the truffle pepperoni and spicy tuna pizza. As a first timer, we thought 2 pizzas was enough for 4 pax, and we underestimated the size of the pizza. ?? The dough is fluffy, soft and crispy. Melty cheese and generous toppings on that size of pizza. Plus for every 2 pizzas ordered, they give a free garlic herb pasta for free! This is a total carb loading ??. The garlic herb pasta is yummy, however would love to have more herb flavour to it. Managed to stuff as many pizza slices.... But had to takeaway 5 slices as we were stuffed but happy in my belly ??. Would love to be back again for my next pizza, pasta or chops craving. Thank you for the food experience!

Nice Western food in residential coffee shop. The boiled potatoes in pesto sauce is unique and nice. Had to wait 45mins though; with those after having to wait 2 hr. All done from scartch but the flavour make it worth the wait.

Pizzas were freshly made, and the pizza crust had a really great texture. Pepperoni had the right amount of salt, unlike many pizza places and ingredients were generous. Definitely coming back again ??
