Excellent food and service. For sure this cheese burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. Spring rolls and pastrami were also super delicious. Overall very satisfied with the experience.

We’ve been here many times, as well as done take-away and delivery. Service is nice and it’s good to see that some of the staff have been around for a long time. They have a diverse menu and the food is generally very good. I love their burgers. They’re very tasty and they understand that less is more: the taste comes from the quality of the ingredients and not from piling on a bunch of crazy topping. The burnt ends, both beef and pork, are good, as are the brisket spring rolls. The wings are decent but tend to be a little too wet and saucy. Same with their Nashville fried chicken. The pulled pork is decent. The sausages are nice but unremarkable. Same with the fries. The corn bread is okay but overpriced for such a small portion. The meats are of course the main attraction. Their steaks are okay but not what you come here for. I do like the beef short ribs. They’re quite good. The pork ribs are, well, pork ribs. Nothing special going on there. Their brisket is good but can be inconsistent. I suppose it really depends on the fat content and marbling of the particular cut, but it’s sometimes a little dry and bland. Good brisket should stand on its own and not need BBQ sauce. It’s also a little pricey for the portion size, which brings me to the crux of the review. While the food is definitely above average, and at times exceptional, it’s expensive for what it is. They could also have a better selection of beers on tap. Maybe ditch the comically mediocre PBR and add a Furphy or something instead. They do have a nice range of Aussie wines. Overall, worth a visit if you’re looking for a range of BBQ.

Really loved it. The burger doesn't look that big since it's lesser bread, but with the meat and other ingredients it's quite filling. Perfectly cooked, not overdone. The beef brisket burger was a bit dry though. Wagyu cheese bruger is the way to go. Fries were absolutely delicious! The hamachi tacos were very nice as well..but small. Had the blue lagoon lager and it was really nice and crisp. Well recommended place!

Came here on the recommendation of a friend. We were early for our lunch reservation but finding an available parking lot during this CBD peak lunch time took half an hour. We ordered the beef short rib ($68) which had 400g of meat with bone, spiced pork ribs ($22), beef brisket ($22) and a Mac and cheese ($10). Had some expectations of the beef short ribs but didn’t think it was as tender as I had expected. It was also rather dry and sweet. A friend thought the pork rib was a little “porky smelling” though I was fine with it. At least it was more tender than the beef short ribs. The beef brisket was quite similar in taste with the beef short ribs but at a fraction of the price. Total bill for 3 pax came up to almost $150. But what makes the place enjoyable was the service. They were attentive, friendly and funny, so it made the meal more worthwhile than it would have been.

One of my favourite place for food and drinks. Delicious meat platter and great cocktails! By the creator of burnt ends, great place to try out many of their delicious smoked and barbecue meats. The cornbread with smoked butter is probably my favourite dish here.

Simple straightforward American BBQ food. Quality is there, and it has a certain charm to the place. I've heard a lot about Meatsmith, and we decided to just try it anyways. Service is great, friendly, and straightforward. People move fast, a little too fast sometimes for me, but at least the job is done. That said, it's not a place that I'd return regularly enough, because it just felt a little like an expensive American BBQ fast food the last time we dined there, without it feeling like a restaurant...

Do make reservations or be prepared to queue for seats. The platter was a good way of trying out lots of their different meat options. Pork ribs were tender and fell of the bone easily, flavours were mild despite the slathering of sauce on it, not too salty or sweet. I love the spring rolls with brisket! Pork belly wasn't impressionable. Hot wings were too acidic for me. They were out of pastrami burnt ends and replaced it with a pork sausage, it had a lean fill so a tad tough but a good bite. Love the corn bread and pickles especially the radish. Mac n cheese is decent. Signature scotch quail eggs with caviar is a pass for me, tough and over cooked. I'd take a regular scotch egg any day with it's runny yolk.

Awesome BBQ. Love the Beef Brisket. Grill to perfection, juicy & just desolve in your mouth. Pork Chop Truffle is awesome too. Meat super tender, taste best with the special mustard sauce. Great place if you don't mind paying the the slightly higher quantum price. Don't forget the Red Wine as it helps bring out the taste.
