β β β β β Sesame and almond paste was very good, but I found the walnut paste a little too sweet. Glutinous rice balls with sesame/peanut filling in ginger soup is the signature of this shop and deserves the thumbs up! Great place for desserts!
Has since moved to Clementi Mall

β β β β β I visited the outlet at level 3 Clementi Mall.
I tried the traditional black sesame paste (zhi ma hu) and it was just so amazingly rich in flavour and taste and has a good texture. Quite obviously not from powder base.
I tried their yam cake (steamed) and was completely blown away. Absolutely flavourful and its so soft but yet has got tender chunks of yam in it ( for sure its the Thai yam they using). Its a must try item.
I will next try the "Yang Zhi Gan Lu" soon.
Highly recommended!

β β β β β Note that this is only a review for their chendol snow ice.
The only pro (but very appreciated): they give you a bottle of gula melaka to apply as liberally as you want
Without the melaka though, the ice disappoints. No taste of coconut at all. The red beans are fine but really ordinary, and the green noodles are tasteless. And could be softer too

β β β β β I've visited most branches over the years for their shaved ice since 2016. I noticed their shaved ice has been getting smaller and smaller. My latest visit to the branch at Clementi Mall shocked me. It is at most half of what it used to be. Not sure if it is only at this branch or if it's as small everywhere else. Still tasty but a TOTAL RIP OFF.

β β β β β Love this dessert place that originated from Chinatown! This branch probably shifted from 321 Clementi to Clementi mall and now it usually pretty packed. Have always love their black sesame paste, not too thick nor diluted! The watermelon lychee snow ice comes with 2 lychee and snow ice is soft and tasty!

Have visited this shop many times for the shaved Ice but this time, experience was no good.
The staff at counter and another assistant were very bad and it was not even very busy. Would have walked away if not for the kids who wanted some desserts.
Shaved ice were still tasty but Sweet. Noticed the toppings were a bit lesser now? Price increased since my last visit too.
The hot desserts were standard..
Not going back anytime soon..
