My Briyani House - 17 Petir Rd

Getting to like this place the more I come. Food is good, but at mall prices. Nasi goreng puteh (ikan bilis) is well done, not too oily. Thosai & roti john are not bad too.

My Briyani House Hillion Mall Almost here 10th times for breakfast, standard had drops alot from 4☆ to 2☆, the food now is slightly below average. Employer need to arrange for staff training!!!

We tried the Nasi Lemak and also the Mee Rebus. Honestly the food is not that good.. Chicken wing is hard and not very fresh. Added the bergedil which is pretty oily. The Tea and Almond Susu deserves better ratings and st least made our day. PUTU PURING here is a must try 4/5 stars. Made on the spot w brown sugar fillings. Thumbs up!

First time here. Very rude staff who make unnecessary comments. I ordered 10 pieces of putu pirin, he say he don't sell them in pieces, only sell in packet. Then he commented about me sitting back facing them and mention that they have no way to inform my order is done just because I am back facing them. I had to wait 20mins and I wasn't even rushing them

Horrible experience. Stood at the entrance and don’t see anybody to be seated but nobody greeted us. Upon stepping in, a woman sitting at the table (with a drink) kept yelling “HELLO HELLO” at us. What kind of front line service staff sits down to greet customers? And with such a rude attitude. Staring at us as we walk to our seats. Is she the boss? There’s little walk-in customers and the queue is long. The queue is also moving at a snail’s pace because the cashier actions are slow. When it’s our turn, there’s no briyani. And it’s only 7:30pm. Not gonna visit this place anymore. Staff with “don’t care attitude” don’t deserved to be patronized. We went over to next door where the staff greet the customers (standing) and spontaneously inviting customers to try their food. Although we can’t see them smile but we can tell by their eyes are smiling at us. Thanks to Mr Briyani House’s appalling customer service, I got to try something new today.

Their chicken briyani normally taste ok. The chicken is usually cooked well. Today this is what I got , chicken meat with bloody taste, it’s not fully cooked. Bring to the cook and show him, he said to me “so many people eat no problem, only you have problem. “ From this picture , judge for yourself is this meat acceptable or not . I shredded the chicken drumstick inside to let you have a good look.

At 8pm plus, staff seems short hand with restaurant almost 50% empty. Cashier was busy with packing drinks than receiving order. Most people will walk away but I was patient to wait a while. Ordered mutton briyani set (comes with teh tarik) and egg prata. Both were at best average.

Situated inside the Hillion Mall, opposite Dian Xiao Er, beside the Hainanese eatery, My Britain House's more popular fixture would probably be the tiny corner pop up stall selling kway tutu. That aside, the actual eatery actually serves pretty good food. We tried the Chicken Murtabak and Mee Hoon Goreng. The Murtabak was well made, crispy, with plenty of chicken meat. It is served with a curry and a dahl, both of which goes very well with the Murtabak. The Mee Hoon Goreng was great and full of flavour (not easy for Mee Hoon, which tends to be quite bland). While the prices may be slightly higher than the local coffee shops, it's still reasonable for a mall. We haven't tried the briyani yet, but if the two dishes were anything to judge by, then it should be quite good too. This is a great place to go during peak hours, as you can usually get a seat there. Plus, the staff is quite nice, and were quick to accommodate my request to tapao my Murtabak. They even gave me more curry to take home!
