My father had a bad fall in October last year. My father moved to NTUC Health Chai Chee Nursing Home in February after. spending months in a community hospital. At Chai Chee Nursing Home, my father received extremely good care by staff nurses who cared for him and treated him with kindness and respect. He also received regular rehabilitation exercises by the therapists there, and his progress was closely monitored by Gary Goh, the Occupational Therapist whom was in charge of his discharge planning Gary, along with his team, came up with a program to help my father get back to his feet. My father was provided training that allowed him to become more independent. Before my father could be discharged to return home, my father was given an assessment that allowed him to demonstrate that he could do daily necessitates such as personal hygiene and showering. I was given caregiver training to provide for my father's care. Less than two weeks before discharge, a home visit was also conducted by Gary who visited my parents home with my father and myself and Gary assessed how safety can be improved in the home environment in order to ensure to prevent another fall from occurring. He also advised us on getting the necessary walking aids and helped us with the application of these aids. Another special thanks to Dhiren Dev, the medical social worker who helped us with the paperwork in applying the various grants and schemes offered by AIC. My family is very grateful to all everyone at Chai Chee Nursing Home who helped my father recover from the fall. He is happy to be back home, with his wife. Thank you and please continue the good work that you do. Best, Sunil Nanwani

My mom has been with NTUC Health Senior Day Care @ Chai Chee branch since 2019. A big kudos to the awesome team lead by Wilson and his right hand then Adeline (who has since promoted and moved on to manage another center). Wilson and Adeline and the respective teams in the center are truly awesome people with the biggest hearts I ever know, they truly care for the seniors from the hearts. A loud shout-out to Ai Geok, Jewel, Marivic and Ang Ah Siang - they are just like the cheerleaders we often see on TV, just that they ain’t actors nor actresses, nor are they dressed in Pom Pom. They are real people who serve and work with their hearts, who are always kind to the elderly, happy and positive even on days when they are tired they will never fail to wear a warm smile on their faces. They are always supportive, always attentive and always patient. Forever encouraging and engaging my mom and other seniors in activities to keep these senior active, be it to walk more, to move more and to laugh more. They always making special effort to check on the seniors well being regularly. Thanks for your kindness, support and your care to my mom and the elderly in the center. My mom has nothing but good words abt all of you. :) Since 2020, my mom has been hospitalized a couple of times and everytime she is hospitalized, the team will always reach out to me periodically to check on her well being, how is she recovering, how am I managing as a caregiver. For quite a few times, Wilson and Adeline actually called me just to check on me when they sensed that I sounded tired. For this, I’m grateful and thankful. In Feb this year, my mom is again admitted to hosp for nearly a month due covid and stroke. Mom was very sick then. With the limited info and resources avail online for after hosp care mgt and rehab I decided to drop a note to the center for some advice. The next thing I know, Wilson called. His wealth of knowledge is remarkable and his jovial and positive persona is like a ray of warm sunshine. With his wise & practical advice and pointers, I manage to get my mom the required after hosp care mgt. Thanks Wilson. Last but not least, I must say a big thank you to the caring and ever so patient & friendly drivers Mr Johnnie Chia and Heng Choon Meng, rain or shine they will be there on time to pick mom and other seniors from our hm and sent them home safely after. Even on times when my mom was running late, they will never rush her - her safety is always their priority. Thank you. :) The great support network from the whole team given to my mom has helped her and my family get through some very difficult times. The Β constant encouragements and care have helped mom immensely and the kindness and patience from all of you has been invaluable. I am extremely grateful. Thank you and keep up the good work!

My mother's hair was completely shaved without my permission when I visited her in April 2022. The staff there was unprofessional and unapologetic. This matter is now reported to the authority and awaiting proactive action. When Ntuc Nursing home at Chai Chee was notified of this matter, Esther from Ntuc Nursing home told me that I can always remove my mother from the nursing home instead of the nursing home transferring the staff responsible to another outlet. Up to this point, no one apologizes. So, what is the purpose of writing an email to them? Please advise.
