β β β β β I went there once in Feb and a lady cut my hair. The experience was fine and after the haircut I had a lot of comments that it was great and sleek. I also gave a tip. I went today and she wasn't there. Unfortunately I got this chatty man behind the counter wearing white with sleeves rolled up revealing a tattoo on his arm. I just saw the previous review and realized he is probably the man with the koi fish tattoo. Should have read the review before going because my experience with him was so bad I am not going back there again. First he asked if I shampooed my hair. I said yes. He said oh your hair is really oily. I get that alot from other hair stylists so I just replied yes because of my sensitive skin condition (actually eczema but in chinese I dont know what it is called). My scalp tends to be oily. I wasn't annoyed yet. Then he asked when did you shampoo it? I said yesterday. And he said casually, ok your skin condition must be really bad because the oiliness feels like you shampooed it many days ago. At this point I felt quite horrified because no hairstylist has gone this far to make a point. It was really insensitive. Then after that he started singing and humming and chatting idly to the other hairstylists who were mostly still concentrating on their job. My mum came in to wait for me for awhile and he started to slow down and chatted with her. It was ridiculous. This wasn't a case of being slow to be attentive, but more of slow like he is at a cafe relaxing. Anyway, she left after awhile to go browse other shops and later told me it was because he was too talkative. Then he asked me what shampoo do you use? I said a shampoo from the hospital. He said oh you should Tell Your Doctor to change the shampoo because my professional opinion is you need a plant-based shampoo for scalp. Wow!!? So now he thinks he is more qualified to give advice than a doctor too? Did he not get it that I said I have a skin condition? Anyway I wasn't here to have a conversation so I didnt reply further and gave mostly grunts. So in spite of his inattentive attitude I just beared with it and hoped time would pass so I could leave quickly. You know how at the end of the cut usually the hairstylist would put a mirror to reflect how it looks from the back? He didnt do that but never mind. After he was done, I paid my $5 and left. When I got home, my sister told me it wasn't even straight. One side is longer than the other which I verified. So I snipped off the extra inches on my right. Also, I know it is a cheap cut but I hope he gets fired because as cheap as the service may be, he is giving such chains a bad name and adding to the impression that cheap is poor quality.

β β β β β good and cheap place to get a haircut but I do not recommend letting the man with the koi fish on his arm cut your hair as he has cut my hair a few times and it has always been a bad experience and I would rather pay the extra $5 to choose a stylist than to engage his services. Other than that they have very good barbers that are able to cut hair perfectly well ??
