Have been a loyal supporter and friend of both Alvin and Irene before the shop was open. I don't usually give review for a shop that I have made friends with but please do allow me to share my unbiased opinion about this shop. Honestly, I don't think they deserve any rating less than 4. Why? Alvin is one of the best stringers that I have came across. His knowledge is immense, his skills is 2nd to none. Not to say all the certification and credentials he achieved. Even Irene's stringing is superb!!! Never once they failed to amaze me. Till today, I am still learning from Alvin and Irene. They are always ready to help and share their honest opinion and advises. I don't see how they can offend someone when they come from a helpful and honest perspective. There are cheaper stringing options out there but I am more than willing to pay that extra "little bit" premium to get that quality stringing. It's not just about the feel of the stringing but also the durability of the tension and string which amazes me. Too much to be true? Go down and you will find out. Their approach is never ever about earning your hard earned money, but about what is your need. The only downside I can deduced is that they are too knowledgeable and some may disagree and feel offended as they already have some sort of preassumptions before meeting them. My advise is, go with an open mind, learning goes a long way and everyday we will learn something new. Cheers! BTW, not a paid or biased review. very nice and professional stringer. they will give helpful suggestions about the type of string and tension based on the information you provide and their own judgement. Usually they don't encourage players using over high string tension (people tend to overestimate their ability). That's really correct and can protect many players from injury. When I collect the racket, I found the workmanship was beautiful and the old grip tape was also replaced with a new one (feeling really good) for free. recommend this shop!

Tried a friend’s racquet that was strung at Origin and all I can say is the feel when hitting was great - I owned the same racquet as my friend hence not the racquet issue. Prior to that I was also recommended by another friend to have my racquet string there hence finally decided to check them out. All in all very professional and knowledgeable stringers and I have great experience when visiting them. Highly recommended!

The ONLY Haribito qualified stringer in Spore, both Irene n Alvin. Knowledgeable, reasonable price, good customer service , best stringer so far. Ask them for their Gosen strings, u won't regret .

Origin Badminton/Outstanding Badminton has atrocious prices, limited (and bad) equipment, and worst of all, terrible service. Auntie working there is a terrible person. Insulted my equipment in attempt to persuade me to buy her second-rate Fleet equipment. At least sell me a Yonex, Li-Ning or Victor, Fleet is not known for their badminton equipment. I'd be slightly convinced otherwise, but no, she tried for Fleet. Rude child taught to sell by insulting people, 10/10 no go. P.S. I won't say what racket I use, but Lin Dan is uses it/used it before - if he can get two gold medals in the Olympics, I don't see anything dire with my racket unlike her sales tactics. She also threatened to make me pay for the machine if she strung my racket at a certain tension, saying that the machine might break. Never in the 13 years of my badminton career have I had a stringing technician say this to me (maybe she isn't one), if your machine doesn't work, get a new one, it's not my problem or my fault if your machine breaks. If you can't do it, just say you won't do it, don't get all up in my face about your "amazing" stringing machine. P.S. I have been stringing for my string at that same tension for 6 years (as a professional player), I have not heard of any broken stringing machines for that matter, dreadful service with awful banter. The stringing chit advertised multiple impressive certifications; certifications that the auntie who was stringing the rackets when I walked into the store did not have. I asked her if it was hers and she said "not all". I bet you that none of those certifications belong to her, it probably belonged to the boss or the actual stringing technician. Shady establishment (running under two different names), misleading advertising, the technicians stringing our rackets is probably not certified as advertised, they charge $20 for a BG65 which I can the same (if not better) for $14. Only went in because I was in the vicinity. Stringing chit below for reference.

My go-to badminton stringing services after recommendation by a friend. Professional and quality stringing services at reasonable prices. Although its alittle out of way, will always try to make it point to look for them for restring.

Bad service. I said I want to buy a badminton racquet and she asked my budget how much. i just told my budget within $50-100, but the staff don’t bother to serve me. Then, I just asked for other brands as well, but the budget can be adjustable, but still..if I feel the service is alright, I will consider to buy it as well..but still I was not served by them and just said sorry I cannot help. I was like… ok fine bye.

Friendly staff that is always willing share with you knowledge on how to care for your racket. Patient in guiding you to choose rackets, strings and tension suitable for you. Very professional in their stringing service! Your rackets will be in good hands!
