First time finding ayam geprek in SG and it didn't dissapoint me! Simple and comforting food. Ordered level 3 spiciness and it was just nice for me (I have probably medium low tolerance of spiciness).

I'm quite biased when it comes to sambal matah. Any matah would already win a special star from me, but I've always enjoyed the food from Papa Ayam. Used to go to the Orchard branch and so happy they finally opened in East Coast. I got: Trio Geprek + Indomie: 5/5 Kulit ayam crispy: 5/5 Sate Taichan: 3/5 The sate taichan is not as authentic as the one in Indo but the rest of the food made up for it. Will keep coming back definitely.

The portion was quite generous. I arrived just after peak hour and was served my food very very quickly after ordering. My suspicions were confirmed when I started eating the food. The noodles was quite cold (not worth topping up 60cents to have indomie instead of rice TBH) and the chicken was barely warm-- around 40+ degrees max. They used chicken thigh meat but I think the meat has been refried making it quite tough and stringy. The keropok had some hard bits in it as well which made it quite unpleasant. Thank goodness I only chose to add chicken skin as an add-on 90 cents , portion was quite big but the better was also thick making it the thickest fried chicken skin I have ever eaten. Unfortunately it was also very cold which meant that it had been fried quite some time ago, probably in anticipation for the lunch crowd. The sambal chili packed quite a punch but I really do not appreciate eating fried food which had been prepared quite some time ago. If I am to 'wasting' my calories on fried food it had better be fried when ordered because the deterioration of fried food happens quite quickly and refrying it tends to make it harder and drier. Won't be coming back.

Very good customer service! They were very patient while I was trying to order because it’s my first time eating at PapaAyam. I ordered the Ayam Geprek Original at spicy level number 10, which is enough for my tastebud. Rice portion is little for me so I got another plate of rice. Chicken is enough for my two sets of rice portions. They were boneless and quite tasty too! I really recommend this for anyone who loves to eat spicy food! P.S. I finished my meal in 10 minutes!!! Salute to those who were featured on the wall of fame!
