Terrible experience with this shop. I brought my 5 years old daughter there to buy her a present - a parrot. She explained the owner that she wants to teach the bird to fly and liked an eclectus. The shop owner sold us the bird as a "good breed to learn free flying". We bought the bird only to discover a few days later, that not only the bird's wings were clipped and she wouldn't fly, but the bird's feathers were in terrible shape and the bird needed intense attention and supplements to recover. When I raised this, the owner explained that the bird needs sun because "he has no time to take her out often". On top of everything he claimed it is less than a year old, while a vet confirmed it is minimum 3. She didn't even know how to eat seeds. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone!

very nice gentleman, shared the basics to keep a pet bird and difference in a few species. advice not to rush as it is a long commitment to keep a pet bird.

Been to PetsManiac at Eunos branch. This place do not feel like the majority bird/pet shops you see around in Singapore. The shopkeeper Wei Keong was welcoming and knowledgeable when giving advices on things a parront should consider when getting a second or even third parrot. Very straight to the point, direct and honest answer without any sugar coating facts just to earn that those money from customers. Truly felt that they are educating what their customers need to know and putting things upfront instead of selling parrots off like a pure business. You can also see a significant difference in the parrots' behaviors comparing to other typical bird/pet store. When you enter the place, all parrots were getting your attention (chirping happily - not flapping around in distress). They are SUPER ALRIGHT with hands and likes to "beak" you - way of exploring and showing affection unlike the usual stores where those flocks start freaking out and flapping around in an overcrowded cage. Living conditions were acceptable. Not exceptionally clean but of course, cleaner than any other bird stores out there. What i really like and appeciate about this store is that they tell honest opinions and facts about each parrot breed and do not recommend them just because of a few bucks of extra income OR basing things off in a non-humancentric way e.g. "You want a parrot that can talk? This one can talk.", "You want something EASY to keep? NO NEED ATTENTION OR CARE? This one is easy. Just give food and water. In this cage is good enough." Truth is, no pets are easy to keep. No pets do not NEED attention. No pets are ornaments. You love them because they are your companion and you care for them because they deserve it. They are not something you buy for entertainment or ornament or decoration. Thank you for playing a part in educating a generation that should truly care for their pets. Thank you for imparting the importance of being a responsible owner.

lovely shop with a wide range of birds. wish they carried more pellet brands, but the birds were all so friendly and sweet, especially the young ones :) will now be my go-to bird shop when interested in getting a bird!

My wife and I had a great experience during our visit at Petsmaniac. Wei Keong was very welcoming and patiently chatted with us about the different parrot species, we really felt that he loves and cares for the birds that he raise in the shop. One tell tale sign of well kept birds was that they looked happy in their cages (playful, comfortable, preening) instead of being terrified or nervous like most other bird shops. My wife and I can’t wait to add a new parrot from Petsmaniac to our parrot family once we have moved to our new home.
