These family or food operators think very highly of themselves. They are very arrogant and think their fish soup is the best. Frankly their fish soup is just above average. They are not wearing masks when cooking and during these pandemic, they should be mindful of their actions. When they are taking orders, they talk very rudely and think they have a lot of authority when they know their fish soup is selling well. Although their food is not bad, the other bad point is, they really take their own sweet time to cook causing the long queue. Their productivity is really really poor and often at times, they do not know what they are doing or should do. Mind them, creating a queue during this pandemic is not socially responsible and helpful. Highly overrated, overprice and think their biz will forever be so good. Tried once and will never patronize ever again.

Fish and Prawn Soup. Fresh fish and prawns cooked in a simmering delicious broth and even though this is just one of 2 popular fish soup stall on the same level, the queue for both is almost equal.

Flavor is bland and fish overcooked. I'm not sure what leads to all this hype. It's quite expensive compared to other stalls too.

It is indeed very expensive for hawker fare but the quality is of restaurant standard. The minimum price for fish only is $7 while the same for prawns and fish is $12. The smallest bowl of the latter contained four large prawns and maybe 10 thick pieces of fish. All were very fresh. The soup was tasty and included generous amount of tang-o, fried garlic and pork lard. The dip consisted of fermented beans and sliced chilli padi. Probably due to the big difference in price, the queue was much shorter than the nearby Han Kee.

Had the fish soup, flavor it’s ok. The fish indeed is fresh and thick slice but then again you are paying a minimum of $7 just for the fish soup. In my opinion, the price you pay, they could probably beef it up a little better. Is it something I can eat every day, I would say no. Once in a while, it’s still acceptable for me. Review base on my own opinion, you decide for yourself.

Ok hands down best Teochew fish soup hawker store in my books. Guys , this a storm in a bowl . Beneath it's clear soup surface , it hidden multiple layers of taste. The fresh fish soup hits you with freshness, then salty , shallots kick in with the lard laden your tougue . Before you know it , the ginger flower brought refreshness back into your taste buds . I had not been pleasantly surprised for a while now . The fish is bouncy and fresh . It's marinated well to be salty but not overpowering its freshness . Pork lard is very fresh. Every month is a tougue spa . Queue worth it ? Definitely .

Good fish soup, fish was fresh. More soup will be good and extra pickled ginger chilli sauce will cost you 50cents.

Finally managed to try this famous fish soup at Amoy Food Centre. Is it the best fish soup that I have eaten? Probably not but it has its unique selling points. The light fish soup is served with a little pork lard and shallot, just a bit so that it does not cover the taste of the soup. It also does not have the over powering taste of sole fish like other places. The pickled ginger chilli is a heavenly match with the seafood. The very fresh fish is more thickly sliced than other places and gives it a nice bite. Prawns was also lovely. $15 for the bowl, yes, I decided to see what I can get for the price! Quite naturally, everyone is looking at my bowl as I savor the food, since I sat just beside the queue. Worth checking out but probably not something an average worker would eat everyday.
