仏教寺院から天福宮へ行く途中で見つけました。フードコードにある店でしたが、とても美味しかったです。ホテルの朝食を付けずにローカルフードを楽しんでも良いかと思います。スープ付きで$4でした。 天福宮に面したところにローカルフード店がありますが、$6が相場でした。

Hainanese Chicken Rice served with pounded ginger and chilli. Very old school. Not many places do it this way any more. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

Dishonest hawker. Was there on Saturday afternoon for lunch, asked for Chicken thigh, hawker declared it'll cost $4 per plate (instead of the $3 shown on the sign). Claimed that $3 is for chicken breast only. Never encountered such separate pricing before for thigh. She's just trying to pull a fast one. Stay away from such dishonest hawker, plenty other options around

The chicken rice is not bad, especially if you like a lot soy sauce on it.

Was at Amoy for a quick lunch and chance upon this chicken rice store. Ordered a plate of chicken rice and then saw that the roasted meat looks good too. And added roasted meat as well. Thereafter, saw that they have braised egg and added on braised egg as well. Haha! Overall, paid $5 for chicken + roasted meat + roasted egg and it comes with a chicken vegatables soup. What's not to love about the delicious chicken and roasted meat here, and it comes with chicken vegetables soup as well. Have a short chat with the uncle and aunty mending the store and they have been at Amoy Street Food Centre for 30years+ and this chicken rice store existed for 60 over years already. Before they are at Amoy, they are somewhere nearby?? (I dont know where is it, ?) Uncle is 90 and Aunty doesnt look like in her 80s. Enjoyed my short lunch time with nice & delicious hawker food. Satisfied quick lunch time meal! :) Hidden gems, to my satisfaction. ?
